🍽️ I visited Not Your Average Joe’s in Peabody at the North Shore Mall this past weekend 🌟. From what I’ve heard, this place was a total high school hangout hotspot 🏫🍹. So, I was super excited to see what all the buzz 🐝 was about at this beloved chain. To kick things off, we tried some of their mocktails 🍹 - a perfect choice for anyone doing Dry January! And let’s talk about their table side focaccia bread with olive oil 🥖🫒 - simply divine! For starters, we had their whipped feta dip 🧀. It was creamy, reminiscent of tzatziki sauce, and served with marinated garbanzo beans, sesame crisps, cucumbers, and warm house pita chips 🥙 - a solid 7/10. Next up, Buffalo Chicken Caribbean Tenders 🍗. These hand-breaded beauties were tossed in a mango-buffalo BBQ sauce and served with pineapple-jalapeño salsa and blue cheese dressing. Not too spicy, but a tender lover’s dream - 7/10. But the star of the appetizers? The Coconut Shrimp 🍤. The tangy sauce was a hit - this dish deserves a permanent spot on the menu! 9/10 for sure. Moving on to mains, we had their Chicken Poblano Enchiladas 🌯, Bacon Bleu Burger 🍔, and Mustard-Crusted Chicken 🍗. The enchiladas 7/10 and burger, both specials, were delicious, but my top pick? The Bacon Bleu Burger - an 8/10 thanks to the perfect pairing of bleu cheese. And those sweet potato fries 🍟? Cooked to perfection. The mustard-crusted chicken, served with mashed potatoes and green beans, was a classic but maybe just lacked in flavor - 6/10. For dessert 🍰, we went all out! The “Peanut Butter Thing” 🥜🍫 was a colossal treat - a peanut butter and chocolate chunk vanilla ice cream pie slice, rolled in Oreo crumbs, topped with whipped cream, and drizzled with hot chocolate and caramel sauces - a heavenly 9/10. And the donuts in a bag 🍩, served with caramel sauce and apple slices, were great too, although I wished for a bit more cinnamon sugar - 8/10. Overall, Not Your Average Joe’s delivered a fantastic experience! With their extensive menu, you’re sure to find something tantalizing 😋. Food 🍴: 7/10 Ambiance 🌟: 8/10...
Read moreI’m a delivery driver working for DoorDash, I do so to push myself and my kids forward as an immigrant of this country whilst my English is not perfect it is understandable. I got an order on January 22th, 2024 to Not Your Average Joe’s here in Peabody at the Northshore Mall. I arrived with a friend of African-American descent. Both just wanting to make a quick delivery. Asking the manager who was on shift and at the counter at 6 P.M, how long the order was going to take to get out to the customer. She answered “I don’t know.” Not telling us the time. Others were walking in, listening to a bad attitude in the way she spoke to us they decided not to dine at the restaurant, making a comment on the manager’s attitude. Minutes after waiting the delivery was done and ready to be handed to me. Asking for the customer’s name on the app me and my friend responded accordingly showing the name on the app. She continued to neglect who the order was for. Instead of handing over the bag she threw it on the counter risking the chance of it falling off and spilling. I asked the lady, “Why did you throw it instead of handing it to me?” Immediately the manager grabbed the bag violently and yelled “No more order for you, get out,” “I’m calling security, get out!” On the phone with DoorDash customer support, I could not do anything as I was trying to get the manager’s name. After what felt like an eternity of sitting there I decided to walk out to my car with tears running down my eyes. This was public humiliation to me as I felt weak and targeted. Racial discrimination is a real thing and I’m a victim to it. If there is anyway I can get in contact with management there please let me know. I’m wanting to take legal action for this. I’m an immigrant who is trying for a better life in this country but the emotional and racial abuse could not push me further from continuing. Thank You...
Read moreNumber one food. My wife got the fish and chips. She only got two pieces of fish and the tartar sauce was not good at all. I ordered their signature dish mustard encrusted chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were okay but the green beans tasted like they were sitting for a while and had a banana taste to it which was very strange and not good at all the chicken. If it was not for the lemon aioli I would have probably not liked it. It was a little too dry for my taste, but the lemon aioli had more flavor than the actual chicken. The best food we tasted was the bread and butter. The butter was great and it had spices but not worth going back for unfortunately number two service. The service was great. The woman who helped us was very kind and very understanding. Was also very helpful with giving me ideas for what to order considering that I am completely blind and could not read the menu number three atmosphere. It was not loud at all, although it was about half full. I did appreciate that they're televisions for sports was not as loud as other restaurants nearby, however wasn't going to the bathroom. The men's room where the toilet is I could not even lock the door. I'm not sure if it was broken but there was a hole with a metal piece inside that I kept having to pick my finger at which is gross. The place was accessible, no stairs but again I would not recommend and unfortunately I would not return. My wife and I felt failed and...
