I waited for several minutes before a staff member even acknowledged that I was there. A colleague had made a reservation, but had yet to arrive. The restaurant was not at all full with a group at the bar and one table occupied. When the staff member approached me. I indicated that I was meeting someone who had made a reservation. Rather than ask the name the reservation was under, the staff suggested that I might have mixed up the restaurants, as there is another restaurant with a similar name nearby. It became increasingly clear that I was not welcome at this establishment, which was disappointing and peculiar. Even though I was never asked, I offered the name for the reservation, and indeed I was in the correct place. Moments later two other customers walked in and the gentlemen behind the bar, who had totally ignored me, offered these customers an enthusiastic greeting. At this point, it was exceedingly clear that it was me who was unwelcome. It’s a shame! I was in the city for a conference and my party was excited to support a local business, but I left concerned that Rebel Room is not invested in making all...

Went for the first time. French onion soup was great. The charcuterie board was basic walmart cheese and over ripe berries with extremely sweet balsamic glaze squirted over the small plate with 4 slices of toasted baguette. The burrata cheese plate stated it was served with giardiniera but it was served with the same over ripe berries and overly sweet balsamic glaze. The brussel sprouts where extremely burnt, I think it was celebrity night and Josh and momma from tiktok where the chefs. The brussel sprouts where served with French's fried onions that wasn't needed for texture as the brussel sprouts where crunchier than corn flakes but with no flavor. Spent almost $200 for basic apps and soup and drinks. Aldi has a better selction of cheese and meats than what was used on the charcuterie board. They also didnt give any plates for us to use. The atmosphere was nice and the presseco was...

Rebel Room canceled on us last minute-by email an hour before our reservation. I didn’t get the email in time because we were on our way. We awkwardly stood by the door with a sign that read “closed for breakfast”, we had 12:30pm reservations, so, this was quite confusing. There was a couple from out of town standing outside the restaurant with us, just as confused as we were. The really nice doorman called the main office for us. He had no clue when or if Rebel would be open for us. Whoever he spoke to said the server called-off. I don’t understand how 1 server’s absence could shutdown the whole restaurant, but okay.

The bummer was, it’s a Monday afternoon, and there weren’t many restaurants open to choose from. I would have liked a phone call so we could have just stayed in the South Hills and ate at Mediterra instead. This was a special occasion for my...

We had a wonderful time last night at The Rebel Room! It was smaller than we expected but it was a great atmosphere, very cozy lighting. The drinks were amazing! The meat and cheese board we had was also a highlight of the trip. Our main course was just okay. Not bad, but nothing special. I got the wedge salad, which had a really spicy chipotle dressing and a little blue cheese on it with bacon, red onions and a few tomatoe wedges. I couldn't eat my first one because of how spicy it was, but they made me a new one, with just blue cheese dressing and I ate that one and enjoyed it. My husband had the crab cakes and enjoyed them. But, like I said, the meat and cheese board was so yummy! My recommendation is this would be a great spot for drinks and appetizers with friends before heading to do something else! ❤️❤️

This place gets 3 stars out of 5 because: (1) It’s brand new and we need to see improvement, always (2) We got TO GO because we couldn’t be served on the second floor of the hotel. This spot is very “boutique” in service. (3) The lounge was comfortable and quiet, we enjoyed the lower lighting and lower seating. I’ll be back with friends soon, and look forward to editing this review over the months to share updates about how #LGBTQIA friendly the location stands and if service picks up as they become more established downtown here in Pittbsurgh. The Lobster Gnocchi is photographed in the TO GO container and was delicious, but mild and room temperature by the time it made its way to us. Happy Eating, Picky Eaters!!

My husband and I came in on an evening. It was a seat yourself set up. The drinks were good. The atmosphere is nice. I went through the pictures and from what I saw I decided on the salmon and my husband chose the chicken. The food was very underwhelming in flavor. I did not taste any flavors the description gave on my salmon. Food was very basic. It seemed like they were understaffed so we didn’t get a chance to get refills on water or another round of drinks. This would be a place to visit if you’d just want to sit at the bar and chill.
