Carolyn's Review ................. I had a very special dinner here. I celebrated my daughter's passing, which was entitled Gracie's Celebration of Life. Management let us use the Private Dining Room for this gathering. Which included my mom, a lifelong friend, a great friend from high school and her daughter. Most of whom my daughter worked with. We enjoyed a slide show of Gracie. Pictures were donated from all of her friends and family. Everyone got up and shared stories of Grace. We had a wonderful dinner. They are a wonderful establishment. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking. Plenty of seating inside. Food was delicious!!!! Great service no matter who it is. Each of these young kids are authentic, well mannered, as well as knowledgeable about the dishes served. This, in part, is obviously because the management has everything under control and in good working order. I highly recommend giving this place a try. The atmosphere is majestic. The bar is very relaxing. There's not one place you could sit that you wouldn't be able to see out the windows. It's very nice. So, as I always say! Check it out!

This may have been the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I tried being understanding because it was Valentine’s Day dinner service so it was busy. Well, We sat down at 8pm for our reservation, ordered some drinks and placed our order shortly after. Our cocktails took 30-40min to come out, missing their garnish and missing mint when it’s the whole point of the drink. Another 20 min pass and finally received the appetizer that lacked so much flavor but cost $26. 9:20pm I receive my food by this VERY RUDE busser that was going around looking for who’s table it was and said “Why didn’t you say that this was your food!” When he dropped it off, sir not my responsibility and didn’t appreciate the attitude. So I received my food and ONLY my food but not my girls, I ordered the surf and turf. Sides looked good, but steak was MW when asked for M (slightly off, not a big deal) wasn’t going to touch it until my girl got her food. 9:40pm she finally received her food which was the worst looking plate ever. MW steak when asked for MR, shrimp skewers were so over cooked it was chewy and bad flavor, green beans was missing the sauce and over cooked. Sent my plate back because it was cold for sitting 20min and comes back with a WD steak. Literally couldn’t get any worse! I work in the restaurant industry and it was 100% unacceptable. After speaking to the manager he took the main dishes off the bill but still added our cocktails and appetizer. STILL ENDED UP AT $100! If he didn’t remove those items my bill would easily been over $200 for 2 people. My first Valentine’s Day with my girl and it was ABSOLUTELY RUINED, we didn’t eat the food so we went to bed hungry! Knowing it was not the waiters fault we spoke to him about the experience and wanted to make sure we tipped him well, but no one else. Come to find out it was his first day AND there were about 30 other employees that started that day as well. What kind of company doesn’t train that many employees for a service like that. Y’all failed that night and several tables including us left very unhappy! We spent 2 hours there to experience HANDS DOWN THE WORST SERVICE I EVER RECEIVED!

Disappointing Service at a Longtime Favorite I have been a loyal patron of Kona Grill for over two decades, appreciating its reliable service and enjoyable dining experience. Regrettably, my recent visit starkly contrasted with the high standards I had come to expect. Our server's conduct was unexpectedly condescending, diminishing the overall dining experience for my family and me. From the moment we began to order, the server's tone was patronizing, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The situation escalated when he outright refused to process my credit card for a tip— a request that should be routine in any dining establishment. Additionally, his lack of attentiveness was apparent as he failed to clear our table after our main course, despite our clear need for space for the desserts we had ordered. The culmination of these issues was particularly shocking when he carelessly placed a bus tub next to my sister, carelessly stacking dishes with disregard for our presence. What compounded the disappointment was the management's response—or lack thereof. Despite witnessing the situation, the management neither intervened nor offered an apology, implicitly endorsing the server's behavior. This lack of action was not only surprising but also indicative of a deeper issue within the restaurant's service culture. I am compelled to share this review not out of spite but in hopes that Kona Grill will address and rectify these service issues. It is disheartening to see a beloved establishment falter so significantly in customer care. I sincerely hope improvements are made, as I would like to once again confidently recommend Kona Grill to friends and family.

First of all the food was overpriced. I ordered Kalamari but it was bland and greasy.the sauce it came with tasted like spicy mayo used on sushi when it was supposed to be just a normal aiolï our server also had an attitude in her voice and seemed annoyed. Also 19 bucks for a quarter lb burger? I could go to mcdonalds for that price. I also ordered potstickers, they weren't good they tasted like something I'd get from the sams club freezer section, matter of fact the frozen ones from sams probably tasted even better. We also ordered sliders they somehow magically burned the bottom of the bread for the sliders but the top of the buns werent burned but hard as rock. There was more salad then meat itself.... we then ordered burgers Togo me and my family are afraid of what they'll taste like.... 10/16/22 update I visited again today and I have to say the service from the front door to our table was night and day. I would like to start with the host before the host di not welcome us to the restaurant this this however we were welcomed and seated within 30 seconds. Next we waited maybe five minutes for our server to come and take our drink orders. She was courteous and just all you could ask for in a server because I talked her for like five minutes. The whole time we were there the manager was walking around and maintaining tge establishment for me that was very important that he is out taking care of customers and the establishment. Once we received our food it was very delicious. This time was a total different experience I had to inform the manager that was there but I believe there has been some changes since my last review because Wow.

Not what it used to be. Slow service, subpar food. Ordered shrimp pad tai, very disappointing in quality and taste. 10/19 tried again today while raining for dinner. Three host/hostesses were just standing there watching while I tried to enter with umbrella and holding the door open. Last visit had a sea bass with strong ammonia taste, so waitstaff suggested a "more tender, flaky" Hawaiian Pomfret. It turned out to be tough and bland, really pricey at $25. Three times in a row, I gather their strength lies with the sushi and rolls. Seafood entries are not recommended. Payment took unacceptably long. Staff is attentive and courteous though. 03/2024: Friday afternoon for happy hour. Management seems to forget meaning of happy hour by cutting either significant portion or centerpiece material, thereby making them more expensive relative to full priced item ounce by ounce. This may explain slow business on late Friday afternoon. Taste was about the same as before, but there are happy hours elsewhere that offer real value. Forgot to take bama roll picture. Sushi barely covers the top. 12/2024 Tried happy hour again on a late Monday afternoon. Food is so bad that we’ll quit trying. Quality, taste and appearance are seriously substandard, making it not worthy of dining regardless of price. Only positive was service.

I had been here once before and the service was really great, however the second time I was here with my family, my cousin was getting proposed to, service was slow because they had only 2 chefs on duty but the manager on duty was so gracious, gave us complimentary Prosecco and food to make up for the delay and oh the food was amazing and worth the wait.
