My friend and I stumbled upon this place after our visit to Plato's Closet around the corner. The pictures on the front of the restaurant definitely did their job in effectively drawing us in. Since we didn't research this place and didn't know what to expect, we were excited for a completely new dining experience. This was our first time at an AYCE Indian Street Food restaurant. Each table had a preset place setting that was visually delightful. Servers would come around to the the various tables to provide the food--bread, soup, various curry, sweets, etc. Everything included in the meal was so flavorful and delicious; each item had its own unique flavor, whether it was a kick of spiciness, sweetness, or tanginess. The staff was pleasant and diligently came around often to check if we needed refills on anything. Overall, the entire experience was terrific and we can't wait to come back. Tbh, my friend and I stuck out like a sore thumb because the restaurant was completely full of customers native to where this food originated from. This dining experience was such a treat, delicious and fun! 😃

So glad to have another Royal Thaali branch in Pleasanton! ❤️ I visited on Sunday for an unlimited Rajasthani Thaali. I have always liked their Dal Baati, Choorma, and Kaju Makhana the most along with other varieties they offer. Just like the Milpitas outlet, the taste and quality of food here is amazing. The place is bigger and better with classy interiors. Within an hour it was packed and customers had lined up outside the entry. Try the newly introduced Malai Kulfi that you can order separately. They also had typical Rajasthani head gear called Safa for special occasions if you want to wear it for a picture or videos. Check about it at the counter. The staff and owners were polite and very swift in serving the overwhelming number of people. My best wishes to this new outlet! Check out the detailed reel on my Instagram food page @veggie_central 😊

Sub par experience again at this newly opened branch of the Milpitas Royal Thali. This place replaces Anjappar. The interiors are all the same - but the place is all vegetarian now. We got a place to sit as soon as we went here. Yet again, at no point in time did I have all the food in my plate. As you can see from one of my photos - which I waited for at least 5 minutes - to be served. But then I gave up as I was hungry Food was okay. We had Paneer pakodas where the batter was just there - no taste. The four veggies being served that day - Saag, Dal Makhani, Paneer Tikka Masala, Baingan Bharta. All were decent - paneer was too sweet. Dal makhani was good. For desserts, we had Phirni, and Gajar ka Halwa. They were not sweet for a dessert. Will not be coming back again.

The food was very good. We had their Gujrati thali ( Saturday special) The service was not very good. They took time to clean the tables hence delay in seating. Once you start it took them good 5-7 mins to serve food they passed us by but didn’t serve the dishes 🙄 Again they can improve on service but food flavors were excellent. We also ordered Chana bathura was very good , Hakka noodles were completely mushy and broken noodles-this was one complete waste . For sweet we ordered sizzler brownie /ice-cream - super moist and rich in taste.

The food here is really good and appetizing. My fav was the Dabeli, dahi bada In appetizers. We also tried the sizzlers and the malai soya chap was probably the best of the lot. I shall try the oriental next time as it is Chinese and the Chinese food is really good here. Definitely checkout the noodles and Manchurian. Shaam savera kofta was too good and do checkout their malai kulfi and gajar ka halwa !
