I have been living in the Imperial point area for quite some time and I never stopped at this hidden gem called Las Orquideas, this is located on Federal Hwy just north of 56 street on the east side, you can easily miss it, if you see flags thats the shopping plaza! oh let me tell you it's pretty amazing! my friend and I stopped by on a Thursday night, around 6PM, not much people when we arrived, but it got packed right when we were almost finished, it was a night where #BrowardHouse (shoutout for their amazing job helping those in need!) was there asking for donations, the restaurant was donating a percentage of the sales that day, oh that warmed my heart❤❤ anyway we had a churrasco, you have a choice of sides, it can be from rice, beans plantains (fried sweet or fried green also called Tostones) fries, soup, etc. lots of sides to choose from. I had mine with a small soup.....let me stop here and tell you this soup it's just why I needed, its chicken and rice it was delicious! I could have just a bowl of that and I would have been Haapppyyy😉 the churrasco I was not 100% sold, just a bit chewy, but it was still good; for dessert we had some of the pastries they have and they were fresh and tasted divine! I even brought some home for my morning coffee. Las Orquideas is a great Colombian restaurant, I might have to try next time the BANDEJA that has lots of different yummy things. Give it try and you can have a lovely time, Colombian style!!!👍

Generous portions for lunch and live music - a violinist! Ask about their lunch specials. Our grilled chicken came with rice, chick pea salad and plaintains. Soup of the Day was chicken soup with hearty chunks of chicken, carrots and potato and a wonderful essence of cilantro. The tostones were perfect. The meal was more than we could eat. I found the dishes salted a little more than my preference; my dining companion was happy with the seasoning. Two dining rooms offer different accomodations. The main room has a bar, tables and standard chairs. This is great for groups. The west room has tables and plush love seats with pillows for your back. Both rooms afforded a view of the musician - a pleasant surprise for lunch. Service was pleasant and unobtrusive. We were not in a hurry nor did we feel rushed. It was a relaxing place for lunch and I imagine a good place for dinner with family and friends.

Las Orquídeas is truly a gem in Pompano Beach for anyone craving authentic Colombian cuisine. The food is simply outstanding, with the bandeja paisa Las Orquídeas being a highlight—full of rich, traditional flavors that remind you of home. The freshness of the ingredients is undeniable, bringing out the best in every dish and staying true to our beloved Latin flavors. However, what truly sets Las Orquídeas apart is their personalized customer service, which feels like their secret ingredient. Every time we visit, the owner takes the time to personally greet us, engaging in a warm and respectful conversation that makes us feel right at home. This genuine hospitality, combined with the fabulous service from our server, Jean Pierre, makes every visit special. It’s experiences like these that keep us coming back to this incredible restaurant. Thank you to everyone at Las Orquídeas! Highly recommended!

My first time coming here and last time! I walking in and it's was not busy at all. The worker was nice that attended me. I order 2large soup of the day which they lied on there size. I ask to see the small cup compared to the large cup there really wasn't a different and that was a really shame. Then the work try to drop the small one lower than the large trying confuse me till i took the cups and place it on the table, smh they shouldn't the large soup for a 3 dollar difference. But besides that i wait 45 mins for 10 empanadas. First he told me he was making them fresh because he didn't want to give me the ones that were sitting there for a while and i understand till he put them out the microwave all at once. I was a little confused by that till i thought ok maybe they are pre-made. I didn't eat at the restaurant, i order for take-out the bill come too 38 dollar 30 for food and 8 for tip because you have to pay on these pads that include tips even for take-out! Once i got home wow i was piss!!! The soup tasted sour it's was for my kids, they took one taste of it and told me immediately. I taste it and new it was getting old smh i couldn't believe it then i eat the streak empanadas and all my 10 of the empanadas were soft and chew like they were raw and super grease! Smh i can't believe they told me their food is amazing they over sold their self. I love Colombian food and i was craving it and they disappointed me. I never step in the...

Honestly, I don't know where to start... I come here on a weekly basis for lunch. Everyone I bring here, immediately becomes a regular. The food is spot on. I mean spot on! Lets start with the owner, Fernando, this dude genuinely cares about his business and customer satisfaction. First time I ever sat down he came and introduced himself. Insisted that I try the espresso and cheese bread on the house, I gotta say it was amazing. He made me feel like I was at home. Next up, Service. Okay there are a ton of beautiful women working here its pretty awesome.. But I gotta say coming here for lunch is extra convenient I'm in and out in 30 minutes or less. & they now have these little iPad hand held payments which makes it super easy to pay and get out. This place does get pretty packed, and I can see why! Next up, Food! Seeing comments about saying this menu is expensive??? Are you kidding me! Every item is under 20$, they have a lunch special monday through saturday thats around 8$ and this fills you up! Usually consist of a protein, carb and vegetable. For 8$ you cant beat it! Plus the bakery and desserts literally to die for. I try a different one each time I come in! Alright this review is kind of lengthy but dont let any review knock this place it's one of those little hidden treasures in Fort Lauderdale that need to be given a chance! Coming here for...
