We stopped in here for food after a beach day and it was definitely the right choice. The place is quite small, but they do have bar top seating and I was surprised that even though it was a hot day, it wasn’t unbearable to eat inside. The service was good and the food was fantastic! Prices weren’t terrible either. I think for the carnitas dinner and the three taco dinner with steak we paid around $25

Had the opportunity to stop into this tiny Senor Taco restaurant in Pontiac for a photo shoot. Manager Karina and staff were all polite and accommodating. The food you can tell is totally authentic and looked delicious! They were packed the whole time I was here so you know they have to be good! If you are around Pontiac or Waterford, stop in and check them out!

Don't let the looks deceive you. What a gem. Staff was awesome, along with the tacos. I got the Birra, Asada & Carnitas tacos. It came with a side of grilled onions, grilled jalapeno, half a lime, 2 containers of homemade hot sauce and birra broth. I can't wait to return to try the rest of their menu.

Seriously coming from a Latina that loves her Mexican food and is originally from LA and moved to Michigan. There's not really that many good spots for some really good authentic tacos if you're in the upper Metro Detroit area. (ex: Oxford, Ortonville, Lake Orion, Clarkston areas) But we found this place in Pontiac and it's a small hole in the wall building.

We tried it out and we were not disappointed. I ended up getting tacos de pastor and my bf got tacos de carne asada. Really good tacos it felt like I was back in LA getting tacos from there. They were delicious. The meat was cooked well and had flavor. They put cilantro and dice onions on it like real tacos are suppose to have on them. They also have a mix of sauces you can put on your tacos if you want them more spicy or add more flavor to them. They also have options if you want to try Mexican elotes or esquites. They have their aguas frescas to try and Mexican sodas. (Get Jarritos or Mexican Coke in a glass bottle with your tacos)

So yeah if you're ever in those areas or in Pontiac and want some good taco. Go there and...

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for years and finally made it...unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. We ordered the birria dinner, a hotdog, and a hibiscus tea. The food was underwhelming across the board: bland flavors, everything served barely warm, and no consommé or drippings for the birria, just a plate of tough meat, cold rice, and dull beans.

To make things worse, the bill was way off. We didn’t catch it right away and paid, but something didn’t sit right. I double-checked the math, grabbed the receipt and a menu, and confirmed we were significantly overcharged. Brought it to their attention, but by then the experience was already ruined.

Won’t be coming back. If you do decide to go, double-check your bill and don’t expect much...

I went to this place tonight to get dinner for myself and my family. I ordered a nacho. It was the worst Taco that I have ever had in my entire life. I have bought food from there a couple of times before which were good. But tonight they totally missed the mark. My nacho was soggy and wet. Not even just wet but it was sopping wet and I am so entirely disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They need to bring the Chili Bowl back as soon as possible that's why the Chili Bowl lasted for literally decades. For great service...
