I tried to enjoy a night out with my boyfriend and dog tonight at this restaurant. I was told it was “dog night” and was very excited to come check it out! We were greeted by a waitress who didn’t have a great attitude but that was okay with us. We ordered two ahi tuna starters (rare) as our appetizers. 35 minutes had gone by and my dog was never given any water for him to drink, nor was our waitress willing to take our orders. She had walked out 10+ times to talk with other tables around us. These tables seemed to be family or friends and definitely a boyfriend (who she was kissing all over). After 40 minutes she finally took our orders and I reminded her to please get my dog some water. She proceeded to walk outside many more times without water for my dog or our starters that we ordered almost an hour ago. I had to walk inside and ask for water again. After being there for an hour in total, without our apps or any acknowledgment of the situation we decided to get up and ask to have our order canceled so we could leave. Our waitress proceeded to hold one of our appetizers arguing that she has a 26 top and treating us as if it’s beyond her that we want to leave. Mind you she was arguing this while holding ONE of the two appetizers we had ordered. I asked to speak with a manager after she was so rude to us. (I have never complained at any restaurant before in my whole life because I’m an incredibly forgiving and and understanding person being a waitress). He insisted on giving us a gift card (as if we would come back) and didn’t seem too upset with our waitress. I appreciated his help but it didn’t seem like we were being taken seriously considering someone pulled him aside while talking to us, ending our conversation. Our waitress never took accountability for anything. All she had to do was apologize and we would have been understand but she chose not to do that. I will never be back here again knowing what an awful...

Very disappointed. Wife and I stopped by for lunch two days ago, received a $50 and a $10 gift card for Christmas. We'd been here twice before. First, the server was wonderful, everyone who works there friendly, dog friendly as well as have a senior pup who is in a stroller. Problem came with bill, menu says one thing, final bill another? We had Nacho Appetizer, chopped steak for me and Shrimp Tacos for the wife, plus a diet soda. Bill after seeing the "new" prices, was $58 and change? If you paid by cash it was $56 the bill said, gift cards are cash folks, right?, nope not there, they charged us to run the gift card? Leaving a tiny bit left on the card which we gave to another customer eating as we left. Incredibly misleading prices, very high for a simple lunch. Won't be back based on that alone. Lots of other great places to eat at a much cheaper price for what you get? Note to owner, if you offer a menu price and charge something higher, put a note on the menu, have the server say something, anything. Just left on a sour note, having paid almost $70 with tip for what we ordered. * 2-8-23: To the manager, do you even read and comprehend what I wrote sir? I plainly said the bill said you pay less for cash, we paid with a Hidden Treasures gift card, which is CASH!!!!, yet when we did, we were charged for using it, reducing what was left on the card, NOT receiving the discount for cash. WHY? IT WAS NOT A CREDIT CARD. Further, you never addressed why the menu says one price and the final bill another, that's wrong. Finally, $70 for a small lunch for 2, that's outrageous, been many times but honestly that was it for us. Gouging customers should...

We were charged a hidden 4% upcharge for using credit card. (Each food item was 4% more than the listed menu item, not a new line item at the end like tax or tip which means we also paid tax on the extra 4%) When we asked why is each item more than the menu listed after the bill came the waitress did not know and said "that's just how it is but I don't know why" we later asked a manager on the way out and they said credit card fee. The restaurant was unable to sit me with the party I was with but they still charged the automatic 20% gratuity tip even though we had a different waitress and had to sit in another room. Our sides did not come out with the entre and the waitress did not come back to refill drinks even once or ask if we wanted ketchup (none on the table). Food was tasty, but I most likely will not come back because it was clear the staff was annoyed to be serving, especially since the food took a long time to come out and we also had to wait for them to bring the correct bill because they brought us someone else's bill.

Reply: Thanks for replying Mike. This was the first restaurant I have been to that upcharged for a credit card and I eat out often, but that is okay I understand why you are doing it, but I expect the menu to reflect the increased price and then you can offer a discount for cash instead (like gas stations). The fee was not a line item upcharge but rather each food item was just rung up at 4% higher that what was listed on the menu. And I expect for the staff to know what the restaurant is doing. It is odd to me that you expect that the signs you mention are enough if your staff is not even aware. I will give you...

Very unfortunate experience, my fiancée and I came here a few weeks ago for the first time with a group and were blown away by how good the food was. Our service was excellent and the view was wonderful, so wonderful in fact that we decided to come back after our vacation to enjoy the experience again. We both ordered the exact same thing we did the first time, a fillet and cheese for him and the country fried pork for myself. How disappointing it was to see the country fried plate come out and look nothing like they did on our first visit. Where before the fillets were beautifully breaded with a generous serving of wonderfully smooth gravy these fillets seemed to be breaded in a completely different style. They were very dark and tasted of oil while the gravy on top was sparse and very clearly split with an almost slimy texture that was rather unpleasant. It’s a shame because I had been raving about how good my first experience was and the other people in our group who had tried my dish before agreed that it was really something special. I honestly hope it was just an off night and that when we come back we can capture that same magic we found on our first trip.

My mother had the fried fish (cod) sandwich and chips. I had the fried green BLT and paid an extra $1 for sweet potato fries. I had my dog, so we had to sit in the artificial grass areas. We sat down, and there was no fan anywhere outside (probably would've helped since I had my dog, and it was 88 degrees outside and sunny). There were tiny ants all over the table where we sat. Also, we only had a fork in the paper silverware sleeve, no knife or spoon. My mother enjoyed her sandwich, and they gave her 2 filets (she was able to make 2 meals out of it). Mine, however, was quite the opposite. I remember having the fried green BLT, and it was delicious. This time, I had one tomato on each half (didn't cover the surface of the bread at all), and the sweet potato fries were dry, definitely overcooked, and I found it odd how they put powdered sugar on them instead of salt like most places. I asked my server if she could tell them to make the bacon crispy. Pretty much all but one tiny part of the bacon (the 2 slices I had) was crispy. The rest of it was pure fat. I'm glad I only paid $12. Other than that, the server was friendly.
