SERVICE: The experience started off great, as there was one open table where a reservation didn't show that they were calling. The host took my phone number, and we went for a walk, but my number was apparently written down incorrectly, so she was not able to reach me. However, she came looking for us down the street instead of giving the table to the next group that walked in, which was above and beyond – and very appreciated!

FOOD MENU: Right now, they are using a QR code to scan for the food menu, so I would recommend looking on their website and deciding what you want before you go to save time (and your phone battery! 😉), especially if you don't have a QR reader app on your device.

Burger Antics has a list of pre-made burger specialties or you can create your own burger from a list of toppings. I decided to go adventurous and ordered the Peanut Butter Bacon 'N Jelly Burger, which I have had a peanut butter burger before at another burger place similar to this, but Burger Antics adds the applewood smoked bacon and concord grape jelly. My husband had the Midland, which is "English cheddar, caramelized onion, pickle chips, & house made dijon mustard." They were big burgers and cooked true medium — so, if you are the type that doesn't want any pink in your burger, I would suggest ordering well-done here, not medium-well. We both thought the burgers were delicious, and I would definitely go back again and try a different flavor!

The hamburgers come with your choice of fries, chips, or coleslaw. My husband chose fries, which are the delicious type with the skins. They were served with a cup of dipping sauce that my hubby described as "not commercial ketchup." He wouldn't normally dip his fries in ketchup, but he enjoyed whatever the (housemade?) condiment was for something different. I ordered mine with chips, which were a barbecue-esque flavor, and just the perfect amount of crunch without being too hard to bite.

DRINKS: There is a bar that seemed to have all the essential bottles to make your common cocktails, but we had milkshakes: the Peanut Butter from their menu list and the seasonal flavor, which changes out, but currently is Butter Cake.

ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant is small inside, but they are strictly following social distancing and mask guidelines. Actually, as soon as we were seated, they asked us to have the mask on when getting up and also when the server came up to our table. The crew always stayed back a safe distance until our masks were back in place.

I would say they have mostly high pub tables with a few regular tables. It was loud with music (hence why my number was miscommunicated when we came in LOL), so probably not the best spot to go for a detailed dinner conversation (or with someone hard of hearing), at least not on a Saturday night. They apparently do take reservations though and offer carryouts.

There is also artwork on the wall from a local artist that appeared to be for sale. The waitress said they change it out every month or so. Not sure if it is students or anybody local, nor how they select the artist, but I would love to get in on that!

LOCATION/PARKING: The restaurant is located just northwest of the train tracks and Brookfield train station, with plenty of angled street parking on both sides of the street along the entire block. It's less than a 10-minute drive from the Brookfield Zoo.

Overall, we were both very satisfied and very full! 😄 If you are a specialty burger lover, I would definitely recommend you...

August 2025 update: successful lunch again with incredible drinks, including an ultra creepy doll head!🤣💀

UPDATE: Burger Antics still is tops! Another fantastic outing there to celebrate a birthday with a special guy! Can't wait to crack into the scratch-made Irish Cream!

I was so impressed by the hostess and staff, making sure we were accommodated so late in the day on Sunday. This was my 1st time. I did not know they had a Sunday brunch well as lunch and burgers. I was told about this place from a friend who knows the owners and I am counting the minutes until I go back again! Seriously!

I am not a Man vs. Food type of gal but, could have ordered about 15 things off the menu. Just kidding...I could have ordered everything! Not one item didn't call my name!

And their drinks OMG! I'm going to have to bring A DD or an Uber next time so I can sample a little bit of everything. I did partake in one beverage and it was an excellent choice. The seasonal gin and tonic. An orange mint. Refreshing and delightful! A perfect fall pairing with my burger.

Wait I must tell you about the Burger! Cooked perfectly to order and they are not stingy on the toppings! I went with an old favorite a black-and-blue Burger but I did add bacon that did not disappoint. Thick flavorful and crispy!

I know. I know. Everyone should want scratch-made everything. I'm a little bit of a Heinz ketchup junkie! So their ketchup was a tad sweet for me but absolutely a nice accompaniment to hand-cut fries golden with a sprinkling of salt and hot! Also a good dipping alternative, mayo with some hot sauce mixed in!

A Cool, funky, unpretentious joint that needs to be frequented by everyone at least once...

If you were a fan of the burgers at Lockdown on Western Ave., this place is going to feel a bit familiar when it comes to the food and you're going to like Burger Antics. Fat Elvis anyone? When you see the menu at Burger Antics, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW! Anyways, back to the review. This place is small and impeccably clean. There is plenty of street parking. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. The staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to menu items including beer. They cater to carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike. They have a nice list of craft beer. Our server was an absolute gem and we made sure to leave her a generous tip. She even recommend a delicious craft beer that she thought I would like. 5 stars isn't enough for this establishment. And my compliments to the cooks. A round of applause for the kitchen crew! The food was absolutely delicious from the first bite to the last. Our food came out oh so hot and fresh. My boyfriend had the "Hotter than hell" burger, medium rare, and he "Enjoyed the F#&K out of it" (in his words). I on the other hand decided to choose my own toppings. I had a black bean patty topped with blue cheese crumbles, frizzled onions and bbq sauce with roasted habaneros on the side. I really wanted bacon on it but felt guilty eating meat. The server recommend throwing some roasted red peppers on there. And so I threw some roasted red peppers on there. BAM! My vegetarian burger was an absolute masterpiece (vegetarian burger is pictured). I also "enjoyed the F#&k out of it". Go eat there. Tip generously....
