Wanted this to be good...really did, but it was not. Ordered for the first time last night and went all in. Chips and pico, chicken tacos, carne asada tacos, kids taco, kids quesadilla, chicken burrito....but not a single thing struck anyone as "good". Unfortunately, the pico was super bland. Tasted like tomatoes out of the can with a little cilantro. It was more watery and tomato than anything. Chips were fine, but nothing amazing. For all tacos and burritos, the flour tortillas were rubbery and chewy. Not sure if they were over microwaved or something else, but they were not good. The chicken tacos were half empty. With just chicken and guac really, it was a teaspoon or table spoon of chicken (at best) and some bland guac. Used both the salsa Verde and "hot sauce" neither added to it and it fell really flat.
The carne asada tacos were no different. Same super small scoop of food in the tortilla, and the meat was very chewy.
Kids taco were supposed to be ground beef and came as chicken. Luckily my kiddos aren't super picky eaters, but she had the same reaction as me to mine.
Burrito was full, but also bland. Nothing authentic or flavored in it.
Kids quesadilla was the best of the meals and was received with a thumbs up and thumbs down from my little one.
Hoping this review serves as feedback that the restaurant can take to consider adjusting processes, though don't think we'll...
Read moreTacos and Coffee is relatively new in Quakertown (as of the time of this review) and it seems as though they’re still working out some kinks. We visited on Cinco de Mayo which is most likely why our experience wasn’t stellar, so I’m giving them a pass and would visit again, I think. The coffee is nuts - it’s really really good. Not sure what they do to it but it definitely stands out. The food however was disappointing. I ordered a steak burrito bowl and received maybe a tablespoon of steak and not much more of the rice and beans - hardly any cheese at all. A few others in our group ordered the same type of meal and had the same experience. The beans were refried (not specified on menu) and were cold. Lastly and probably most importantly, we waited for probably 40 minutes after ordering for our food to actually come out - they were waaaaay backed up with online orders and turned away several delivery drivers while we waited because food wasn’t ready yet. Wish they would have let us know there would be a wait before we ordered and paid, especially considering this is pretty much a takeout spot. There are two iron tables outside but that’s it. Overall, I think this place has some definite potential if they align portions with prices and perhaps hire some...
Read moreCame here to support a former coworker who took the leap and opened his own business. I happened to be passing through the area so I stopped in. I was very pleasantly surprised. I had the carne asada tacos and the shrimp tacos. Both were delicious. The pickled carrots add a nice touch and contrasting flavor with texture. The prices are competitive and definitely provide value. I was prepared to eat it, be disappointed and take one for the team as I would never write a fake review, but I was definitely happy with my visit. I would regularly frequent this establishment if I lived in the area. Here's to much success Dom! Btw, your staff were...
