As soon as we walked in this place was clean, organized, and each booth was already set. We were sat immediately. Now I have mentioned some places I've been being INTIMATE. Theis place was the definition. There we're 6 booths (3 booths on 1 side and 3 booths on the other) and 1 table in the middle that can seat 6, along with 3 seats at the counter. There we're only 2 people working. 1 lady server and the gentlemen in the back making all this deliciousness! The menu was impressive. With every item it had a picture so you knew exactly what you are ordering. Except the hand rolls, no pictures on the menu. We ordered our drinks and food. We waited only a couple mins for our drinks, and about 10 to 15 mins before our food came out. The presentation was beautiful!! The mussles were impressive. Usually when you order mussels you have to rip it out of the shell first. This spot actually removed the mussle placed it back in the shell and baked it. The smell of garlic just slapped me in the face. Which I don't mind, "garlic lover here"!! It was so easy to eat I practically slurped it like an oyster! That's exactly what I did. As you know I'm a low carb fan, they had a whole section of about 7 rolls that were riceless!! Great variety and the one I got was so tasty and flavorful! The spicy tuna was most defiantly spicy! I also love wasabi and ginger with my rolls! This wasabi hit me so hard it felt like a bomb exploded in my mouth and continued to my forehead and made my eyes water!! Lol It was good and very strong! Depending on what you ordered each roll priced from 14 - 16 dollars. It came with a cucumber salad that was in a heart shaped dish. Miso soup was hot and very good. Kids got their food along with Shirley temples! It was a bit pricy, but what do you expect when you want to literally eat FOOD ART! When we were getting the check our server brought us out a surprise dessert which was oranges! It was a nice unexpected surprise! Most definantly will come back here!!!

Sachi means happy and I enjoyed an excellent dinner with my friend. Pros: cozy atmosphere highlighted by light stained wood and a neautral tone. The sushi bar prominently features in the back. Service is friendly and comes with a smile. The food is fresh and the flavor profiles and combinations balanced and of a good quality. The presentation of the food is cute and fun. The decor is traditional and sentimental. This favorable mix of elements creates a happy melange. Cons: The air conditioning seems to struggle against the sunsets of summer. The jazz music soundtrack seems slightly out of place.

It's ok. I thought the prices were high. I got the Sushi Chef's Creation which was 12 pieces of Nigiri. They were good with big pieces of fish, but I wasn't a fan of the rice. I don't like the mayonnaise in there, or it seemed to have that kind of sweetness added. I also don't know my fish that well, except for the obvious species, so I don't know if $29.99 is a good price for this platter or not. Service was mediocre, the layout is cramped. I'm glad I tried it.

A regulars response to negative reviews: One year after my original review and I wish I could give them 6 stars. The chef, Rex, has a amazing talent for flavor combinations. I can't eat sushi anywhere else! The fish is always perfectly fresh and each plate is carefully crafted to complement the flavor of the fish. The husband wife duo that runs this place is amazing! I saw a review about Jini picking her nose and I 100% think that this a bunch of baloney! The woman is so classy, she was a ballerina when she was younger for crying out loud. I also saw a review about her being stern but she is always smiling and welcoming. I can say if you come in at 12:45 and say you have an appointment at 1 but want to place an order you might get a stern answer from her but only because your interrupting the other customer's meals and making ridiculous requests.(Legit happened to us. The woman who came in was so loud and rude and expected her order to be done in like 5 mins.) With that being said, as far as service goes they now only serve 4 tables at a time. They are super devoted to making sure everyone gets perfect service and we do. Every time. Before, when they were serving up to 7 tables, it was so busy and they were rushing to make sure everyone was taken care of. Jini cut her hand open in the back and had to rush out to get stitches. Sure they could hire another waitress but I think it would ruin the intimacy of the place. If you happen to go in when it's busy and have to wait I can tell you, it will be worth it. Between Rex's food and Jini's hospitality you will be well taken care of. When your a regular they take your photo and add it to their wall. They remember your orders and make you feel so welcomed. It's still our date night spot. We have tried so many amazing rolls it's hard now to pick just 3 favorites and one new one. I order fish here that I have never tried at other places because I know it will be fresh and that Rex knows exactly what to pair it with. This is not your run in and run out Sushi spot where the fish is covered in 6 different types of mayo to cover up it's lack of freshness. It's a 5 star restaurant hidden away right here in Redlands.

Original review: You want legit amazing Sushi? 🍣 GO HERE NOW!!!! Multiple roll options for people who don't eat rice!!! The people are so nice, the service is great!!!! Ooooo my gosh so yummy!!! This is our go to...

Very unpleasant experience.not even a “hello” upon entering their business, then told there’s a 30 min wait to be seated and there was literally only 3-4 tables that were occupied.just plain rude all around. If chefs backed up,she could’ve at least said that and offered us a seat and we would’ve been fine waiting. As a business owner in Redlands I thought this was very unprofessional. And honestly I took it as how we looked she was just flat out rude and judged us because we’re heavily tattooed…..well we’re tattoo artist.lol. I understand that maybe they do a lot of to go orders, but as a sit down restaurant, there should be some kind of niceness to people visiting them especially when there’s 2/3 of the tables unoccupied. Definitely will never try or recommend this...
