Look, I came into Desert Sun Bagels fully expecting a mediocre, beige carb to shove in my face on the way to work. Instead, I got a fresh, handmade insult to every bagel sandwich I’ve ever eaten before this. Rude.

The worst part? The bagels are actually plump and tasty Ike someone cares about craftsmanship in 2025. Who does that anymore? It’s exhausting having to enjoy my food this much.

And the staff? They smile. They talk to you. They act like your happiness matters. Honestly, it’s kind of creepy how nice everyone is.

Amazing bagel sandwiches - the best in town! Their coffee is good so I decided to try an iced latte last weekend. Even with an extra shot of espresso I could barely taste the coffee. It was pretty much like drinking a big glass of milk. I asked the girl at the register if she could do anything to fix it, like dump out half the milk and add another shot, but she said she would be unable to without an additional charge. This is when I looked at my receipt and saw she had actually charged me for three extra shots by mistake (I was wondering why it cost nearly $10). If I was able to do the work myself to assemble my breakfast, I would just buy a bagel at the grocery store. I go to a restaurant for takeout bc I don't have the time or space to do so and need it ready to eat while on the go, yet I still have to do all the work myself? What did I just pay for? Nothing more than an over priced bagel and a small togo of cream cheese that isn't even enough for a bagel -that I ended up throwing out bc I was driving and didn't have time or space to do the assembly that I paid a restaurant to do.
