Hi, I just ordered online, I had $10 in rewards pts, I decided to use them to today to purchase my usual sandwich which is Med 1, Double Meat. I arrived about 10 minutes after there was only 1 person who was at the register, as his sandwich was being made. I asked about my online order, they had not even started it.
I had to wait for Gardenia to finish his sandwich, they started mine. She looked at the receipt for a good amount of time, and it says Smokey Cheddar, as I watching I see Provolone being put on the bread, I got up and asked if was Smokey Cheddar, she said nothing, removed the incorrect order, grabbed Smokey Cheddar and proceeded to slice the double meats. \
Then another employee from back came up, put on gloves took a long to look at the receipt and finished sandwich, did extra oil and vinegar as I requested in comments, but declined the 3 cuts and did the normal 1 cut.
I went up to pick up my sandwich, as I usually pay online, in this case i used $9.24 in rewards out $10 earned. As I tried to get the sandwich and leave, I was told my sandwich was unpaid for by Gardenia. I said I used reward pts, then she said, I need your rewards card, I said I don't have one, that's why I do online (If you must know I cutup after a horrible double meat experience, where my meat was about ½ inch total at Keystone when I swore I would never Port of Subs again, the manager disrespect when I called too), but I didn't share this with Gardenia.
She then asked for my phone number which I provided and it doesn't pull up. I offered my email and log in ID. I was getting pretty upset at this pt, because I was hungry, I paid for the sandwich with pts that I earned, and I expected to walk in and walk out with a sandwich.
So I said, "Fine, I'll just pay", just refund my rewards pts, she claimed she couldn't, but she offered to call her manager, Grace, GM, then went to the back for about 5 minutes, about the situation. She never connected, I never got a resolution, I wasn't going for pay for sandwich that was already paid for unless my pts were returned.
I asked for the receipt, she wouldn't give to me, so I had her write down her name and her manager. I left there at 1:46PM PST. Please resolve this matter. Oh and I will be posting in this on...
Read moreUpdate to Original Review post: Turns out this place does actually care about their customers. That's awesome, and I had to update my rating after calming down and re-evauating. This Port of Subs has always been great, never a let down before. But I lost my cool after a week from hell and my disappointing experience from here that ended said week was the the last straw. But, after leaving the review, I was contacted by the owner and/or manager who apologized and corrected their errors. They were friendly, apologetic and I could tell they were sincere. A rarity now days. I will def continue to enjoy Port of Subs for their fresh ingredients, house sliced meats, tasty options and great service. Everyone has an off day, and I shouldn't have been so quick to negatively review them. Thank you Port of Subs, my local owned and neighborhood sandwich spot.
Original Review: Placed an order through the app. Over half of my sandwich ingredients were missing. Tomato, pepperoncinis, onion, and pepperjack-- where were they? What a boring sandwich. Without fail, every time I tip online before receiving my order, they always eff it up. This goes for any and all restaurants that have online ordering. I thought Port of Subs would be better than that, like actually care about the customer?? I guess not if they can't be bothered to read what...
Read moreThis Port of Subs location has the thinnest meat and cheese slicer that I've ever seen. When it first opened it was pretty normal. Sometime around mid 2023 they decided to get really skimpy on the meat and cheese. It just tastes like a bread sandwich now. I have returned three times now over a 6 month period hoping this would be fixed, but it has not, which is why I felt compelled to leave a review. There are several other good sandwich shops nearby, so don't waste your time here. If I go back someday and this changes, I will...
