I'm going to be honest. My wife comes here because she loves the soup and that is about it. My third time coming in and the food is bland. First of, if you order the montanero, please make sure you don't in the first place. The steak is cooked plain, no salt whatsoever. There is no cream, no cheese, the pork rind is bland (which is a shock since it's supposed to be fatty). The best you'll get from this plate is the salad that comes with it, pretty sad. The servers knew me because I had complained last time about the empanadas. When I ordered the empanadas the first time, they were huge, meaty and perfect. When I ordered them a second time, they brought me 4 tiny little ones. The server whom I spoke with said that the ones that I got were "Colombian" and they no longer had them on the menu. This is a lie because when I ordered the first time, there weren't any "colombian" empanadas on the menu. The manager/owner is quite rude. When I made my complaint on the fact that the steak was bland and there was no crema or cheese for a "Montanero plate", she got upset, did not apologize at all and was hesitant to even acknowledge what had happened. Secondly, the fries are horrible. They just dump them in the fryer and do not add salt once they are cooked, which tastes absolutely horrible. When I asked the server why this was the case, she replied with a "we get too many complaints about the salt in fries and some people have dietary restrictions so we remove it". Although this is a nice gesture, overall, fries MUST have salt. If someone has an allergy or dietary restriction, it is the consumer's responsibility to say so. Lastly, one of the servers "accidentally" dropped juice on my leg. She didn't seem to care to even offer me a napkin to clean it off and walked away saying "sorry, sorry". Forgot her name but I am quite confident she is Venezuelan/Colombian from the accent that I picked up, not that it matters but she's super fake. All she cares about is the tips and it's noticeable. Don't try to order anything besides seafood from this place. If they add no salt to the steak/fries and remove many key components to a plate to charge $22 (Montañero) for, please remove it from the menu. I gave it a 2 star on the menu simply because my wife and my daughter love the seafood. Horrible service in general, the bar is always dirty, the servers are always chit chatting in the back, there is no communication between server at all and very...
Read moreI consider Rincon Limeño (Chelsea) as one of my favorite restaurants, I go frequently and the service is always excellent, but I do have to say that with Rincón Limeño 2 in Revere they have not done a good job in terms of service. I was there last night and decided to sit at the bar with a friend even though we don't drink, and from the first moment the service was deplorable and mediocre by the bartender. The appearance of the bar could be much better, I tried to enjoy my food and although it was good it is difficult to enjoy it with a garbage container full, without the lid and a little smelly. I finished my meal without the bartender asking if I would like anything else. It's also worth remembering that it took them forever to pick up the dirty dishes. I managed to take a photo. you judge. I make this type of comment with the sole intention of improving them because visiting them has always been a...
