The food was ok. Service was terrible. I don’t think I would be back. I’m being veeery generous with the 3 star rating.
Unfortunately I picked this place to celebrate my birthday, this Monday the 3rd. I wish I hadn’t because it was not the best. Got there around 6, I don’t know the name of our server but he was pretty bad from the get go, showing us his gum as he was chewing. He seemed super annoyed by everything we asked. My friend even told him if you have another server that can wait on us? He said no it’s ok and his attitude improved a little bit. One asked for chicken nachos and they came with beef. Ordered a guacamole that never came. My fried tamales were good but they weren’t fried, they were just as soft as a normal tamal. The mole was good but didn’t taste like mole at all. The pastor taco and mixiote were good. Ordered a pitcher of margarita and tasted nothing but watered lime juice, like it had been sitting there for a while. We sent it back (after the waiter very much showed his annoyance) and got the same thing, we just cancelled the whole thing and tried to order single drinks but then he suggested a top shelf one with no ice which we took and that was actually good. The first ones were just terrible, probably the worst house margarita I’ve had in town. He said it was because of the ice as they’ve had that problem before, then if that’s the case why keep doing it that way? Is it because pitchers were on special that day? I’d rather pay full price but get something of quality.
Overall the food was ok but the service really damped our experience. You would think the birthday gift bags would tell the staff we were celebrating a special occasion but didn’t mean anything to them. Never saw a manager either, not checking on tables or anything. We still tipped 20% because not only some of us have worked in the industry but also didn’t want to be the Hispanics that don’t tip. So, tipped because of principle but not because the waiter deserved it because he absolutely did not. Even 10% would have been more than enough. The place is of course beautiful but there’s many other places around with good food AND...

Read moreI never would've thought I would be one to give a Mexican restaurant a low rating but I'm not even sure of where I should begin. Walking in, the host kept asking how many were in our party? Although 3 of us were visibly standing there he kept repeating '4' ohh first of all, there was an odor that seemed to get worse as we we're escorted to the patio. Strong enough to almost make me question if I wanted food from their kitchen but we sat, ordered water and drinks and before we could even get into the salsa, we noticed a hair (noooo doubt) on the inside of the cup of ranch that is served with the salsa. Had it replaced. Fine. At this point we start ordering food, however, $17.00 for some wings that they honestly could have kept to themselves had me reconsidering right then. All of our waters came out with the wings, and the main entrees quickly followed and lastly the drinks arrived. When he brought out the wings, he brought 3 plates which all three we're dirty from MULTIPLE food particles. At this point I feel like I'm really being pranked. My friend had made modifications for her nachos which were not followed at all. And I honestly felt that my fajitas were ridiculously flavorless. Definitely would not recommend especially for $100 for 3 people to dine for lunch. Now, the first time I went I did have a frozen margarita to go I believe it was $18 however it was really decent. But otherwise, I don't think...
