The food was ok. Service was terrible. I don’t think I would be back. I’m being veeery generous with the 3 star rating.

Unfortunately I picked this place to celebrate my birthday, this Monday the 3rd. I wish I hadn’t because it was not the best. Got there around 6, I don’t know the name of our server but he was pretty bad from the get go, showing us his gum as he was chewing. He seemed super annoyed by everything we asked. My friend even told him if you have another server that can wait on us? He said no it’s ok and his attitude improved a little bit. One asked for chicken nachos and they came with beef. Ordered a guacamole that never came. My fried tamales were good but they weren’t fried, they were just as soft as a normal tamal. The mole was good but didn’t taste like mole at all. The pastor taco and mixiote were good. Ordered a pitcher of margarita and tasted nothing but watered lime juice, like it had been sitting there for a while. We sent it back (after the waiter very much showed his annoyance) and got the same thing, we just cancelled the whole thing and tried to order single drinks but then he suggested a top shelf one with no ice which we took and that was actually good. The first ones were just terrible, probably the worst house margarita I’ve had in town. He said it was because of the ice as they’ve had that problem before, then if that’s the case why keep doing it that way? Is it because pitchers were on special that day? I’d rather pay full price but get something of quality.

Overall the food was ok but the service really damped our experience. You would think the birthday gift bags would tell the staff we were celebrating a special occasion but didn’t mean anything to them. Never saw a manager either, not checking on tables or anything. We still tipped 20% because not only some of us have worked in the industry but also didn’t want to be the Hispanics that don’t tip. So, tipped because of principle but not because the waiter deserved it because he absolutely did not. Even 10% would have been more than enough. The place is of course beautiful but there’s many other places around with good food AND...

I never would've thought I would be one to give a Mexican restaurant a low rating but I'm not even sure of where I should begin. Walking in, the host kept asking how many were in our party? Although 3 of us were visibly standing there he kept repeating '4' ohh first of all, there was an odor that seemed to get worse as we we're escorted to the patio. Strong enough to almost make me question if I wanted food from their kitchen but we sat, ordered water and drinks and before we could even get into the salsa, we noticed a hair (noooo doubt) on the inside of the cup of ranch that is served with the salsa. Had it replaced. Fine. At this point we start ordering food, however, $17.00 for some wings that they honestly could have kept to themselves had me reconsidering right then. All of our waters came out with the wings, and the main entrees quickly followed and lastly the drinks arrived. When he brought out the wings, he brought 3 plates which all three we're dirty from MULTIPLE food particles. At this point I feel like I'm really being pranked. My friend had made modifications for her nachos which were not followed at all. And I honestly felt that my fajitas were ridiculously flavorless. Definitely would not recommend especially for $100 for 3 people to dine for lunch. Now, the first time I went I did have a frozen margarita to go I believe it was $18 however it was really decent. But otherwise, I don't think...

This whole review is because they tried to give me food out of the trash. I left my To go container on the table (full of the meal i ordered because i didn’t have time to eat) i immediately walked back in and the table was cleared. I told our server thinking she had it to the side. She said “ i didn’t think you wanted it.” WHAT! She then reached in the trash and pulled out the partially open container with food hanging out, and proceeded to hand it to me. My eyes grew extremely large as i could not believe this. I stood in shock as she slightly pulled back but again proceeded to try to give it to me again. My reply was “ absolutely not! I don’t want that food from the trash can.” I ask to speak with a manager. She went into the kitchen and came back and said “we will make you another plate.” My reply was “ the reason I could not eat was because I dont have time“. She left me standing there and did not return until the cook made more. I had a steak fajita platter with all of the fixings. What i received was a lot of onions and bell peppers a little meat and 3 tortilla shells. Where is the rest of my food. I left and once the amount cleared, i requested a full refund from my bank including my tip. Thank God it was the trash in view. I would have never known.

Met a group of friends tonight for dinner. The vibrant colors and eclectic decor give this place a good vibe. Our waiter did a fantastic job keeping our orders straight and our glasses full. Not easy task with large groups. I went with the LA ESPECIALIDAD DE LA CASA: MIXIOTE, a traditional dish with origins from the Basin of Central Mexico. It comes out in a little pouch, when I broke it open the aroma made my mouth water. The dish reminded me of a meal my cab driver brought me in Cozumel, they only serve it on Sundays. I also had the horchata, so good!! There were many dishes that came to the table, everyone gave thumbs up. The one sitting next to me had stuffed avocados - yum! It’s a hidden gem tucked into the shopping area across from Galleria Mall. Have a great patio seating area available. For some great Mexican food, stop in and explore their menu.
