Complete disaster- very disappointing.
Our Grandmother and Great Aunt drove all the way from Hillsborro Oregon to take our 8 year old Daughter here for her Birthday.
This place went down hill bigtime. The newer server desperately needs more training and/or common sense, and the food quality coming from the kitchen isn't what it used to be.
We had to retrieve our own menus after waiting a while, with only one other table in the restaurant.
Daughter's drink was forgotten and we had to get up and go ask the waitress who was on her cell phone behind the counter.
Mt etna penne sauce is like soup broth and does not hold onto the penne pasta at all. I asked for them to take it back she didn't even take the plate away, she said she'd call the owner, went on about how she has always served it like that, she talked to the owner over the phone and the owner refused to take it off the bill, the best they could do after all that trouble was half off the runny penne that I had taken a few bites off of. Awful dish, absolutely awful.
The other table was family of the server apparently because the young kids from that table kept going in the back of house into the kitchen, and the server called a lady "mom".
We ordered a kids pizza, a calzone, spaghetti w/meatballs, fettucine w/chicken, fettucine w/o chicken, and a mt.etna. The dishes were brought out 1 by 1, during a long span of time; rather than brought out all together. The kids pizza & calzone came first.10 minutes later came 2 of the pastas, another 5-10 min later came the 3rd pasta, and 5 min later still no spaghetti and we were waiting to eat until everyone's plates were on the table.
Server let us stare at our plates getting cold and let the spaghetti sit there in the kitchen while she was on the computer, our Grandma could see the spaghetti plate was ready in the kitchen and got tired of waiting to start her meal and had to get up & ask for our Aunt's spagetti, server said oh I'll bring it out when I'm done putting in an order. Grandma insisted on having it now so the server ended up handing it over with a bad attitude.
To top it all off, daughter was eating leftover fettucine tonight and found a bunch of plastic in the food, she almost choked. I attached a photo...
Read moreHad the most wonderful brunch here. Yes, they're open for brunch on Sundays from 11-3! Service was exceptional. We were promptly greeted by the front of house person Ellen and she let us know about the specials and how things worked. We ordered a breakfast pizza, some doughnuts and also a loaf of their home baked sourdough to take home. Ellen anticipated our every need and brought us silverware, waters, plates and beverages as we sat down. Doughnuts were exceptional and perfect to share, and new plates were provided before our pizza arrived. To say the pizza was good is a severe understatement. It was possibly the best pizza I've eaten, and I've had some great pizza in my life. The savory white sauce, sausage and eggs, all complimented the delicious yeasty crust perfectly. It was just spectacular, not to mention the amazing house made hot sauce, yumm. Happily satiated we asked for a box for our items, one was even brought for our left over hot sauce, thank you! Ellen was just a pleasure to have waiting on us. She was friendly and helpful and a great conversation. All while seemingly being the only one working the front of house. She's a jem for sure! The only odd thing was a conversation with another employee there. Not sure if he was on the clock or not, but we did have a nice conversation about some other local restaurants for a few minutes. When we were on our way out, I saw him at the front playing a game with a beer. I waited to make eye contact so I could say thank you, but he didn't look up at all. Perhaps he was on his break, but I did find it odd that he didn't acknowledge us for a second to say bye or thank you or anything. Thank you so much Ellen and to the back of house! Overall, l this was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to come back for dinner to try some fresh pasta and of...
Read morePlace is Okay... same menu/owner as the Uptown Village Location downtown Vancouver. My favorite part is this pizza parlor is their patio. If a group of you are visiting ridgefield they have space. Pizza is flavorful, but nothing “amazing”. Im sure they cater to locals who live nearby, and tourists going kayaking in ridgefield.
My experience today consisted of a warm, not hot slice of pizza that didn’t even include a topping, and a micro brew. It’s was .50 cents extra per topping after cheese and a $1.00 to use a debit or credit card if your purchase was under $5.00. Seems a bit high... perhaps profiting from purchases under $5 with card and not just covering costs.
For a very small, nothing special slice and a beer it came to $11.38 plus a tip I added. If the slice were larger, one topping included, chili flakes, hot sauce, and Parmesan offered with my slice I would had rated a 4. Instead the parm came on the slice already as to avoid having customers use to much. Instead of trying to watch costs, you should think about what will bring customers back. I will not be back for a slice and beer, but perhaps a group to see how it goes ordering a whole pizza. From other reviews, I would expect the experience to be great.
Side note- my server was Friendly, attractive, and carried herself well, but it did take about 10 minutes to get a beer, when it wasn’t busy. Apparently the tap wasn’t working well. She brought me a water to wash down my beer after I was finished eating and drinking...
I will increase my rating if the group experience proves...
