I was pretty impressed by the food and our server. We ordered a few different things to try as I had not been to sushi king in years. Sadly, our favorite place closed down due to all of the art construction a few years back and we have been searching for a new go to spot. Now for my complaint, We ordered a roll with lobster and when we got the roll it did not have lobster. At first I couldn't figure out what was different about what I was expecting I looked at the menu and asked the server she quickly pointed out that thus was wrong due to it having immitation crab in it. We offerred to send it back the server said that the chef was going to make it over the correct way. She said no worries we could eat what we had we tried to send it back. All was well until 15 mins later the server comes back and states that the chef is ordering her to bring back the incorrect roll. We were surprised by this and she refusely apologized. We both accepted that it had been eaten and let her know it was bot her fault. We could tell she felt very badly. We asked if we could just cancel the order which was accepted. After that she came back to the table a few minutes later and stated to us that we would be charged for the incorrect roll the chef had made because we ate it. To start I had been upset with this offer. The roll we ordered was almost 20 dollars. No one was going to say anything about it being wrong. we would have gone in to pay double the proce of what he had made us. and then to top it off he stood behind the chef make table staring is down the rest of the time we were there. Thankfully our server was so nice. I alsed for the manager and the manager was not around on this day. I asked if the chef was the manager and the server had stated no. I was pretty upset at the idea of having to pay for an incorrect item being made and given to our table. Especially because If I had said nothing I would have had to pay double for a cheap immitation crab. I don't know if I would be returning anytime soon. Read moreOh, you do not need my review to fail. You'll fail on your own very soon. This business is terrible and unpleasant. Let's start with the rolls. Constructed poorly. The pictures are there. They fell apart, and one piece had something crunchy in it. It was almost like the smallest egg shell, but I couldn't find it. Very small crunchy granules I know don't belong near any sushi. But that's the 2 stars as it was still edible. The lady who brought me my water and rolls was nice. She was trying to keep it together, and I wanted to give it 3 stars for her effort, but what she was trying to keep together was depressing and honestly off putting Some old man came out of the back and yelled at the sushi chef in a foreign language. The chef then goes to the register and slams it. The young lady was like, "Chill out, guys, we have customers." I know i felt uncomfortable immediately watching what I think is a family dispute. I assume it's the old man's fault, and he's gone, so i continued, but soon enough, the sushi chef started to berate the girl who served me. He just started going at her about everything he felt was wrong. She was noticeably shaken, and when i walked out, she had a tear coming down her cheek. What is going on? Another couple nearby left also. They just canceled their food order. I know i wanted to cancel my food after I received it, but I didn't want to be wasteful. They just made it so uncomfortable to be there much less eat. There's no way this place survives, nor should it. Had my family been here, i would've walked out on the bill and food. Read moreI have literally been waiting here for two hours for sushi. 3 rolls, a miso soup, and a green salad. My order was placed at 8pm. It is now 9:57pm. Multiple people have come in, placed to go orders, and gotten their food while I still wait. It is after closing and they have cleared everyone out of the store aside from myself and one other couple who placed their orders around the same time as me. We have watched multiple people come and go and all he keeps telling us is it's coming soon. But he continued to finish new orders coming in instead of the ones that had been submitted. I will not be coming back. We are frequent customers and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. It is beyond being short staffed or rolling slowly. It is the complete inability to manage time related tasks. And to top it off the sushi chef was visibly drunk. I finally got my food about 10:15pm and i was the very last customer in the building. When we did get our food home the food was horrible. It wasn't rolled correctly and fell apart, and there was an entire roll extra from what we ordered that we couldn't identify the protein in but it was definitely some type of tempura something of which could have made my wife very sick had she eaten as she has celiac disease. The eel was overcooked. My side of eel sauce was missing. The miso soup was cold. I should have canceled the order at one point but it was the one food my wife...
