TERRIBLE carry-out experience Saturday 5/22. The Mr got home with the order to find my burger was not in the bag. He called to say he was coming back to get it (actually a fresh one, not one that would've been sitting there for close to an hour by then) and the person on the phone went through a whole series of questions confirming the order...so, one would think that they would have made it per the original order specifications! When he got back with the burger, not only did it not have the extra bacon that was ordered and paid for, the bacon that was on it was undercooked and slimy. The burger patty was also so undercook it was almost raw inside. As an added bonus, my dear hubby got to eat his food cold when he finally made it back with the other half of our order.
I'm sure the restaurant will say that people should check their order to make sure it's correct before leaving...BUT, is it really on the customer to make sure that you have done the job they have paid you for? Shouldn't you make it a priority to ensure your customers enjoy the product/service you are in business to supply? I know you do a lot of business and losing a few customers is really of little consequence to you, but isn't it better to keep as many satisfied customers as possible? Perhaps you should consider having one person who uses the receipt to check off every item/detail of an order to insure customers have the best experience possible AND actually receive everything that they have paid you for!
As an additional note the online ordering through grub hub should be looked at. It's a pretty poor ordering experience when you don't even have the option to specify how you would like your burger cooked. When you dine in your server asks when you place your order.
After this experience it will probably be quite awhile before we decide to give you...
Read moreAs I was going in with my wife, a guy exiting hollered out that the crowd in there was 'too young' for him. It was deafening loud inside. The waitress had to scream back and forth between us. I tried to order a pork appetizer and they were out. After ordering off of a dirty menu, I went to wash my hands. They were out of paper towels. I had to start over after getting some napkins from the bar area. I decided after that to pay for our soft drinks and cancel our order of 24 wings and a soft pretzel. I went to pay for it and a VERY RUDE manager came to the table and asked what was wrong. With the DJ sitting there doing NOTHING, I said that he could have loaded paper towels into the bathroom. The RUDE manager said that he had over 50 customers on the other side. Apparently me and my wife are not customers? I went to pay for the soft drinks and he spun his heel and walked away giving me a dismissive wave with his arm. I left money on the table for the soft drinks and we left. It must be nice to have a job like that where you can get by with no accountability for treating customers so poorly. This happened on Sunday 12/23/2018 at about 11:45 PM. I will never go back. There are too many nice restaurants in Rockford and surrounding area. No one deserves to be treated like that, or to have ear-splitting music in the background that is so loud that everyone is screaming in each other's ears. I liked this place better when it was a family...
Read moreWell the only thing positive I have to say is that our server was friendly and made a good drink. Other than that, oh, where to begin...
We were sat in the bar area rather than the dining room, near a bunch of 20-30 year old guys. They seemed to be making the most of their deep understanding of the English language by using F√¢k every other word. I'm not too concerned with people's depth of vocabulary or lack there of, but why would you seat a family near a bunch of drunk F√¢ks?
Next, we ordered and waited 20-30 minutes for our food to come out. The fettuccine al fredo was cold and had burnt half-cooked noodles. The Korean tacos were mostly bland and also cold. My omelet was made incorrectly and went back right away. The only decent dish was the Mac and cheese. The fettuccine and tacos were sent back and replaced with a Phillie cheese steak sandwich. The omelet came out in 15 minutes or so and was overcooked. We got to talking and realized that it had been 30-40 minutes since we asked for the sandwich. (The server came over once that time). I went to the bar and asked for the check. She brought it fairly quickly and apologized.
To say the least it was an unpleasant experience, especially when one of the "guys" at the bar started talking about someone with a swastika tattoo.
Needless to say, we won't be...
