Food was definitely a let down based on what I've seen in other reviews. The large menu has pictures of each dish and the actual dish comes out a very pathetic version of what was pictures on the menu. We ordered the chicken protein plate for $21 and the Huarache for $13.50. the chicken protein plate had about 3oz of very thinly sliced chicken, meager amount of grilled veggies and 3 tiny shriveled asparagus. The side salad was very standard fare and nothing about this plate was memorable. I mentioned to the server about the very small portion of meat on the protein plate and he said it was 8.5oz of chicken, the portion for a normal human, it was most definitely not more than 3.5 oz. She did bring more chicken to help compensate after she reviewed what was shown on the menu. A favor she would make sure to not let me forget as she mentioned it several times including when I was paying and selecting a tip amount. The Huarache was below average and very very hard, you needed a steak knife to cut through the corn. It was very forgetful and would not recommend. All and all, this was not a good value for the average food that was eaten here. Would not come back

Found this 5 star rated BBQ place and totally agree with the 5 star rating on their food. We loved their signature Carribbean style roast pork. Definitely need to order that. The kabobs and tacos were also great. Didn't expect the milkshakes on the menu, but they are totally worth it, well made and enjoyable. We were seated promptly, order was taken shortly after, and food came out pretty quickly. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. The only let down on the whole experience was being forgotten and overlooked at the end when we didn't get the check and had a difficult time flagging down wait staff for the bill, which still took longer than expected to finally reach the table. I'd go again for the food, but would let staff know if the check is needed soon after foods is received. Food gets 5 stars while service gets 3 stars.

First time here, but not the last. We had the Mexico City (Chilango) dog and the Quesabirria Taco plate. Both were tasty but the tacos were the clear winner. I can't wait to taste some of the other Mexican specialties, like the chankla and the pibil (we had a small pibil taster taco and it was obviously their specialty). Prices seemed a bit high, but the portions are really big so we took home leftovers, making the whole thing feel reasonable. Service was so friendly that I felt like a regular on my first visit. It's off the beaten track, but worth the trip.

That was the best dang thing I've ever put in my mouth. My fiance agreed, that was seriously good food. Got the Calamari and Fried plantains for our starter, and holy cow, both were perfect! I've had calamari and fried plantain from places all around the Bay, these are my favorite. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other starters soon.

Main course was the humble hot dog turned entirely extraordinary by the masterful chef! We got the hot dogs here; I got the Perro Cochino and Louisiana Hot link (had half each, VERY filling) while my fiance had the Ázalo dog. The dogs were cut down the center and done to perfection on the fire grill, with sweet white bread buns that pair beautifully to the meal.

My meal was topped with their Caribbean-style pork which was SO juicy and tender yet NOT greasy! The other toppings of bacon, cheese, and chipotle sauce (I opted to remove the onions) were surprisingly very helpful in adding to the flavor profile. I've never had a meal with three different meats blend well before, but this dish certainly did it! Next time, I'm getting their Cochino Pibil because that pork was HEAVENLY.

As for the hot link, a warning is in order; this bad boy is not for the faint of heart! I knew this going into it, and so customized mine to have some of the plantain and condensed milk drizzled on top, which cut the heat and added the sweet. Worth it.

For desert, we shared a nice Churro and Ice cream dish. While I am glad we got it, I do admit I was eyeing the Tiramisu.

Stop deciding on where to go: come here, order something that sounds good, and prepare to...

AMAZING! After reading the reviews I decided to try it. The restaurant is tucked away and unassuming. It took a bit to be noticed when we came in, maybe a bell could help alert the staff when someone arrives. However, once we were greeted and taken care of, the service was so personable and kind not too slow. The food came out in the estimated time and was hot and fresh.

To the food....it was some of the best food we have had in a while. We are from Texas originally, so taquerias and taco trucks were something we were familiar with. It has been a while since we have had good tacos that reminded us of home. My partner had chicken tacos and the pork tacos....he said they were some of the best tacos he's had in his life. So flavorful, and the in house made corn tortillas were outstanding. And gluten free! The restaurant seemed knowledgeable about gluten and what items were safe.

I had the beef kebab plate with rice and the salad. The beef and rice were seasoned so perfectly and were so flavorful. I want more of both! I didn't touch the salad, yet. I'm saving that for lunch tomorrow with the left over beef kebab. The salad looks so fresh and delicious, after trying the other foods, I am excited to try it and the dressing with it.

We will be back for sure! This was such an amazing experience. Outstanding foods that were seasoned well and surpassed our expectations. This was a wonderful meal for my 40th Birthday dinner! I'm so glad I picked it to try!

Also, I wish I had taken pictures, as everything...

We have been to this restaurant twice and our recent visit was very disappointing. We decided to go with burgers this time. My husband got the Azalo! burger and I got the rustic burger. When it came out I liked how they put pickles, lettuce, and tomato on the side so you can decide whether you want it on your burger or not. The problem was that the burgers didn't taste great at all. It was super oily and unflavored. I could only taste cheese and a bun on my burger. My husband hated his burger, he didn't even finish it. For a 25$ burger, it definitely should've tasted much better! The fries that came with our order also didn't taste good. You can clearly tell that it was a frozen fries and pretty watery even. We didn't even eat it. We were so excited to eat here again after our first time but it didn't work out as we expected. The first time we came I had short ribs and it tasted amazing! I even gave the restaurant a 5-star rating and the review was sitting in my review drafts waiting to be written. This time we had a 2-star experience. Plus our waitress was like 30 minutes late so the chef had to take our order. When the waitress finally came, she messed up our water and brought it to us with ice, even tho we asked for no ice. I think that for such a high-rating restaurant, this is not how the staff should behave. I'm not sure if we will be coming back...
