I had one of the worst dining experiences I've had in quite some time here this past weekend. I am not a hard guy to please. Read my reviews. Even places I didn't enjoy I'll typically hand a 3 or so but this was bad.
I stood in the entrance for probably 10 minutes. There is no hostess working (okay it's a pandemic things are different). But then the people who are working need to pay attention. We got seated and waited quite some time to place an order. They are only seating at 50% capacity and there was a few cars in the drive-through. However, we waited about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Meanwhile, I sat there with an empty glass of tea forever. The waitress came to apologize for how busy they were, but still didn't refill my glass.
Finally the food arrives and as expected, it was rushed. Nothing was cooked well enough. The onion rings were soggy and needed more time in the fryer so was my fish sandwich. After all that time, they just rushed it out as fast as possible. I still didn't have a refill which the waitress did eventually bring while about halfway through my dinner.
Now I go to pay. I stand at the counter forever, a woman comes up to help and tells me she can't ring me out. More time now to wait for my waitress to come.
All said and done I spent 90 min here for overpriced food and terrible service. FYI, I still left a 25% tip an never once complained to the server. All this time, I never ONCE saw a...
Read moreToday I had the worst experience ever at this Eat 'n Park. We used to eat here quite often but the service and food quality has been progressively going downhill. Sunday mornings are always extra busy, I'm aware and just deal with it. But today! We only waited about 5 minutes to be seated. Once seated we did have a longer wait for the server. Still not too long. I wanted 2 fried eggs and English muffin. I was told it would be a 30 to 40 minute wait for my order!! Unbelievable! The server suggested the Buffet instead. Reluctantly I agreed because I did not have the time to waste. (I should have just gone to another restaurant). On Sunday the Buffet has limited breakfast foods since it is a Brunch Buffet. But today was especially bad. I had to scrape the last of the scrambled eggs from the heating dish, there were only bits and pieces of bacon (not a strip to be found), the mini pierogies were dried and almost warm. I took a biscuit and asked the server for butter since they dont stock that on the buffet - never got it. I heard other servers giving their customers the same suggestion to use the buffet. However, no one was refilling the empty buffet! So not only did I NOT get to eat what I wanted, I had to pay $9.99 for it!...
Read moreA hometown version of a Denny's, but much better!
Eat'n Park is a local chain of restaurants, offering all day breakfast, and well as an all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar (chicken noodle & chili everyday plus a daily soup), as well as lunch and dinner offerings. Their menu has something for everyone, generally for a very fair price.
This restaurant is one of the early build ones, and is only open until 10 pm, but there is a larger, 24 hour one just 1 mile south of this one. The local story is that they built the bigger one later, planning on closing the smaller one, but people kept going to the smaller one, so they do enough business to keep both open!
This one has a drive-thru, and generally has an earlier dinner rush (starts at 4 pm), so you can usually get in here for dinner at 6:30 pm without a problem.
This also generally has a more laid back clientele, that know a lot of the regulars. If you are looking to be in and out quick, let your waitress know, because many customers here like to "linger over their coffee and chat"...
