Checkers — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

I really wish I could have wrote a good review and give them a 5 star. Because I honestly use to love this place. But the customer service is horrible due to the NEW night time manager, I believe they have. She is that is lazy including the staff that works with her. I don’t know the manager’s name. I tried to call and ask her name. Because this is the third time I have been up there at 10:00pm and they find the need to close 4 hours early then the posted time ,which is 2:00am. There’s 3 workers in there mind you ,and they say I don’t have enough staff. I’ve worked at McDonald’s 10:00pm-5:00am just fine with a cook, floor manager and my self. That’s three people. The last time I was there was Wednesday night and I was waiting at the window. All three of them acting like they didn’t see me. Someone came out and told a man that they were close. But a total of 5 customers came when I was there ,two in the drive through and the rest walk up. Money being lost. But I guess that not my problem. They honestly need to fire the manager or put her on day time shift. So she doesn’t have any excuse to not work. First off I love Checkers food. It's on the more expensive side when it comes to fastfood so I can't make it my go-to fastfood joint. However, I go when my wallet allows me to and sort of a way that I treat myself. There's just no place that satisfies my hunger for a nice big juicy burger. And them fries 😋 ....

I only wish Checkers did more for their employees when it comes to training and the hiring process. I can't tell you how many times I've watched the employees who deserve their check and the check belonging to the employee next to them thinking their job is to stand their and chitchatting to the ones actually working. They're what's known as a monkey wrench. They slow down the gears to breaking point. Whatever policy or process is active, making these managers hold on to these special gems needs reworked. Checkers fails at service 9 out of 10 locations. They're slow, they get orders wrong too many times. And what's up with our drinks we order? I rarely get the right drink given to me. I have never in my life been so upset! I was just ridiculed, picked on, and discriminated by the staff at Checkers all in the presence of my daughter. I pulled up to order and quickly realized that everything I said was repeated to me incorrectly.. So I asked to pull up.. But that's when the person taking my order said no "I just can't understand you with your accent".. So I pulled up and asked who was it that was taking my order? A lady came foward and said she was the manager and that her staff did not do anything wrong to me. All while laughing..mind you. I told her as a manager this should have never taken place in your presence. At that point I was livid. We shared words and I asked her to close the window so that I can get the number... She kept on talking, took my picture with my child in the front seat... And even threatened to call the cops on me. I made it clear that I just needed to get the number that was on the window... Discrimination is not a small matter and should never be taken lightly.! Especially in the presence of a 10 yr old. I would like to be reached my the manager directly as soon...
