Quality, fresh Greek food. Options like going to Qdoba... but Greek style. I had the bowl (sound familiar? ) with rice, garbanzo beans, lamb beef kabob... plus pita, toppings and sauce. Watching them use a caulking gun to squirt out the sauce was a bit unnerving... Make it a combo and you get a side and drink. Plenty to eat and a nice alternative to a burger place. Customer operated soda machine takes a while to make a selection from many, many drink options and a line quickly forms. Most first time customers were a bit confused ordering as I was. If you don't know what it is or includes... ask. Menu on board is not very clear for new customers even if you have been to Greece. Seating could be more inviting like it is in Greece rather than a subway sandwich place. They do have limited outside seating for nice weather. Competition across the street probably keeps them doing their best. Greek music playing was a novel idea. Overall good food and I would go back... after trying across the street just to see what that is all about and make...
Read moreI've only been to the Padelis that recently opened at Thanksgiving point in the same location that used to be Greek Souvlaki. My go to dish before it was Padelis used to be the "Low Carb Salad w/ chicken souvlaki". I was addicted (2 or 3 times a week at times).
I've tried to recreate this salad twice now at Padelis, but I find that the chicken (now cut from a spit similar to the lamb) has been very dry on both attempts, lacked the once delicious grilled onions and zuchini (w/ lemon+spices), and the Greek Vinaigrette dressing seems overly oily and bland lacking the vinegar and spice kick. Not sure if the recipe changed or if it isn't getting mixed completely before put in the cups. I did request a side of vinegar (that helped a lot) and was also given a sample of the Limone dressing which was good, but I still miss that tangy Greek vinaigrette. The service is very good however and the staff friendly and responsive.
I also have had the Gyro combo and it was delicious. I'm still lamenting the...
Read moreJust went to the grand opening of the location in Lehi and I’m so excited to have one closer to home! The portions were huge. I got the street gyros so it came with 3 smaller pitas and it allowed me to try 3 different meats. The lamb was delicious but the falafel was my favorite. I also tried the chicken and the marinade for that was very flavorful. Cucumber, tomatoes and feta topped with Tazziki sauce was the perfect topping. I wasn’t able to finish all 3 of my mini gyros but I shared them with my daughter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I’m excited to go again and get a full sized gyro, while I loved the mini ones so I was able to taste more meats, it was hard to keep it all contained so there was quite a bit of spillage so I think a full sized pita gyro would solve that! They stuff them so full of meat, there just wasn’t much room left for the toppings so the spillage was expected but still very delicious. I’ll be...
