Google suggested I update my review so... I STILL LOVE IT!! Absolutely amazing food for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. And the staff is always so, so kind and helpful! ~ First off, sorry for the low quality photos. My phone isn't the best and I'm not one for taking photos of food. In case you're wondering, the dishes are the tofu wontons and vegetarian pon pon chicken. Now to the actual review... Shanghai is the best! The food? Amazing. The service? Wonderful. Atmosphere? Quaint. Owner? Lovely. Entire Experience? Phenomenal. As a vegetarian, I'm limited on options but I'm never disappointed when I go to Shanghai. They have a large selection and I never get bored. They also have meat options for your mates. While I don't drink coffee personally, my mother swears by it. The appetisers are delicious. I love the tofu lettuce wraps! Heaven on Earth, I swear! And then of course there's the pon pon chicken. I may stray but I always return to it. This is the kind of place where you leave content and happy. Not only are you full, but the servers are all very nice and attentive. They remember who you are even just after a couple of visits. Their recommendations are always spot on, too! All around a great time when you visit Shanghai Cafe. It's so funny that I'm just now getting around to this review considering how often I go and how many times I've started writing it.

Super is a fantastic server! He went above and beyond for us. Very friendly, and so welcoming. It was our first time here. I ordered the Hủ Tiếu Mỹ Tho Khò (Dry Vietnamese Pork & Seafood Noodle Soup w/ Broth on the side). The portion was massive. It was delicious. The pork char-siu was moist and tender. The broth on the side was light and savory. I rate my order a 4/5. It only came with pork & shrimp. When I get this type of dish, I also usually see some quail eggs and calamari, but other than that, the dish still had a lot of flavor. I would get it again. My wife ordered Mì Wonton (Wonto Noodle Soup). There was plenty of pork char-siu in this one as well. It came with a crispy fried shrimp cracker, wonton, and Napa cabbage. The broth was clear and refreshing, and the in-house chili sauce had a good kick to it. My wife rates her 5/5. I also ordered the egg roll appetizer. It was very crispy and delicious. Overall rating I give this place a 5☆. Awesome service. I would recommend this place.

Shanghai Cafe has an excellent staff. They are friendly and willing to take the time to explain their dishes to you. Our party ordered the Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken combination plate (with ham fried rice and a Vietnamese egg roll), egg drop soup, along with cream cheese wontons and the tempura vegetable platter. Our food was served to us quickly and every item was hot and delicious. The portions are large. Plan on taking a lot of food home, which makes this restaurant very well worth the money! Our waiter was quick to take away dishes that were no longer needed and to refill our water. He was attentive and made us feel appreciated. I’ve been coming here for years and it seems that the food just keeps getting better. Shanghai Cafe is one of my favorite places to go to in the city. I highly recommend.

This was my first time visiting. Service was initially slow but was pretty good and attentive after. The food was super tasty. The over all experience was pretty good. The location is great. Easy to access with ample convenient parking. The facility is clean and the overall ambience is nice. I will be back. I recommend for sure.
