First time here. Young Hostess confused. I asked her what she would recommend...she had no clue. I had to ask the waiter for his name. Edward. Friendly enough. The previous two restaurants here didn't last. Complimentary chips and salsa. Very good hot chips and salsa. I ordered the Mexican Plate, yes oddly enough. The plate is served with your choice of 2 cheese, chicken or beef enchiladas at no extra charge. It comes with a crispy taco either beef or chicken...refried beans and rice...and lettuce and tomatoe salad next to your crispy taco of choice...And two flour or corn tortillas extra at no charge. My plate...i ordered with 2 cheese enchiladas, crispy beef taco and flour tortillas. Ok listen Northside folks...this place served me a great mexican plate. It was hot. The cheese enchiladas were excellent second to none. Very good cheese and the sauce with very great flavor. The taco shell was crispy and not hard. The taco meat had very good flavor evenly spiced...and served hot. Ok...so then the flour tortillas were excellent. Soft and very good texture and flavor. They didn't getaway hard before i finished my meal. You won't disappointed with the food or the price. I paid 7.50 for the mexican plate that included two tortillas chips and salsa. Northside...don't be sacred. This is a very clean restaurant with great prices...

We dove into the nachos while thumbing through the glossy pages of menu items that took us from a morning eye opener of breakfast tacos and plates to lunch and dinner usuals of enchiladas and puffy tacos to meat filled parilladas and seafood combos of fried shrimp and fish.
I find the encyclopedia style menus (picture and description) like they have here to be such a boon to selection of an entree especially when one may yet have tried it.
The other consideration I typically enjoy at these mostly unadvertised Mexican restaurants that is much more base than the lofty ideals of these family run business. Price. Don't let anyone tell you that there are no bargains to be had for dining when addressing the Tex-mex arm of the body of comestibles. They are there for the taking with only the nominal expenditure of a little adventure and an open mind to foods you thought you liked prepared only one...
