It's what I love about these neighborhood restaurants. They seem to be genuinely pleased to see your face and are always ready to extoll the virtues of their family business and the food they serve. It's a familiar story that never gets old and the pride shown in the re-telling is infectious. We dove into the nachos while thumbing through the glossy pages of menu items that took us from a morning eye opener of breakfast tacos and plates to lunch and dinner usuals of enchiladas and puffy tacos to meat filled parilladas and seafood combos of fried shrimp and fish. I find the encyclopedia style menus (picture and description) like they have here to be such a boon to selection of an entree especially when one may yet have tried it. The other consideration I typically enjoy at these mostly unadvertised Mexican restaurants that is much more base than the lofty ideals of these family run business. Price. Don't let anyone tell you that there are no bargains to be had for dining when addressing the Tex-mex arm of the body of comestibles. They are there for the taking with only the nominal expenditure of a little adventure and an open mind to foods you thought you liked prepared only one way. Good Eats!

So I ordered the shrimp tacos for son. The waitress asked if I meant the shrimp quesadillas. No, the tacos, as I pointed to the menu picture. So she asked if I meant the quesadillas, but shaped like tacos. So I said no, just the tacos. So she asked what kind of tortilla. So I pointed at the picture again and said "corn plz." So then she asked if I wanted all the taco stuff, or just what comes w the quesadillas. So I said "plz bring me these exact shrimp tacos, like in the menu under SHRIMP TACOS, and on this picture of shrimp tacos." She left in a huff and I saw her pointing at me and telling a leader worker something about shrimp. 10 mins later we got shrimp tacos, just like the menu promised. Idk why she put me through all that, but she stuck the landing, and that's what matters. Also, the pozole is dang fine.

My husband and I went to our usual place in the area we live in. (1604 & Bandera). It was not open for dine in. We continued down the road looking for a dine in Mexican restaurant for a quick breakfast. We tried 3 places till we found this one. Never been, first times here. I ordered beef fajita quesadillas. They were good. My husband ordered huevos rancheros and a chorizo con huevo taco. He said the plate was good. Now the taco... he is super picky about a chorizo con huevo taco. He will complain about how it's made every time if it's not perfectly mixed or just plain not tasty. He wanted to order 5 more to go! I was pretty amazed at how much he loved that taco! 🤣

Came here for breakfast, because I saw a couple of views. So I decided to come by with my wife. Going in was real roomy and nice. There were some TV screens up, but all Spanish channels; that's fine because it's a Mexican restaurant. My breakfast plate was good and delicious. The only downfall; the waitress spoke nothing but Spanish. So she basically talked to my wife who is more frequent in Spanish. (It just made me feel like a fry on the wall.) Other than that, the atmosphere was very nice comfortable and the food was delicious. I Do plan on going back. I recommended if you like a little Mexican with a good atmosphere; try coming here.👉 haha- rhym 😅...

I've been here a couple of times, have been through the drive thru, ordered ahead and have dined there. • Although the food isnt terrible, some prices seem to be high for what you get. • The restuarant space is clean and sleek • The staff are very unorganized and more often than not are just hanging around an area talking, the manager is not an exception either. (Although it seems like the kitchen workers at times look like they are frustrated with the servers getting plates out) Only thing I can understand is that this is a new business I'm assuming and I really hope all the problems I'm seeing level out soon.

Everything in that place went down. This place use to taste good. Now it’s plain nasty. I usually get the piña rellena seafood plate which usually taste awesome. Now it tasted like bad seafood. My husband ordered cheese enchiladas and got a beef enchilada plate. When it was time to pay the lady asked me how was it? I told her it was disgusting and no I don’t want a to go box. Another note their salsa bowl now looks like a joke. She then said I’m so sorry about that without at least giving me a discount. Like why ask me if your not going to do something about it?! Never going back there again!!!!!
