Mini tacos - my Latina friend said they were the worst tacos she'd had in a long time. Coconut shrimp (camaron de coco) - I could be mistaken, but I felt they were overcooked, a bit burnt. I wouldn't order them again, but maybe that's just me. Ensalada de frijoles - extremely disappointing. I was surprised when I saw the huge foil take-out container for my salad. But then, I've had huge salads. I expected it to be stuffed full to bursting, likely half full of lettuce and half with a mixture of assorted vegetables, plus corn and beans. I opened it and was shocked to discover a modest amount of corn and beans and a few teeny tiny pieces of onions and what might be red bell pepper. I called the restaurant. I assumed there was a mistake and that they had accidentally left out most of my salad. No, they said it was correct. The "ensalada de frijoles" doesn't actually include any salad. Or much in the way of any vegetable. $13 for 1-2 cups of black beans and corn. What the heck.

Needless to say, I'm never going back.

P.S. Don't be like me - I accidentally called the wrong Mexican restaurant named Sabor. Sabor Cocina Mexicana, 8425 Bandera Rd, is just a few miles away from Sabor Mexico Mezcal, 5720 Bandera Rd, which...

Stopped by about 1pm on a Wednesday. Wanted to try this new place since we're always looking for a good burger. Place was empty when we arrived. Minimalist decor was the vibe here with some eclectic music I'm not familiar with. Young lady served us drinks and gave us some time to checkout the menu. Seems like this place has transitioned to different menu than before -- now shows tacos, wings, burgers. We had the smash burger and the ringer burger. The burgers were good in flavor and seasoning. The patties to bun ratio were just okay. Buns over powered the patties which were smaller in size, so you get more breading than meat when you bite into it. I will say that their fries 🍟 were great. Good seasoning! May come try the breakfast sometime. Hope they make it here seems like it could be a great place to grab a bite. Give...

BEWARE, PSA!!!!! : From a witness point of view, I am extremely worried for future customers. I watched the owner SCREAM at customers after not tending to them for an extreme amount of time. They asked for a check for their drinks and the OWNER threw a plate on the table and yelled at them “WHATS THE PROBLEM” then proceeded to scream “VENTE AQUI” screaming at them to get out. The woman said “sir you are extremely rude” and he yelled “DAMN RIGHT.” I am so disgusted and truly saddened... I will NEVER return. Not ONCE did these people treat this man wrong to deserve that.. As a prior restaurant manager/server, this is abusive customer service. I truly can NOT believe my eyes and ears. I am so sorry to this couple. As well as the other...

This is not traditional Mexican food if that is what you are looking for like I was. The chicken mole enchiladas were ok. It was served with white rice and refried beans. The plate was delivered hot, straight from the oven, burn your fingers hot. The fish and shrimp plate was ok. The shrimp was very fried, almost like chicharron. The fish was ok, somewhat fishy. But it was lightly breaded and cooked well. Overall it was ok, the food was prepared to order and service was good.
