Pacifica Breeze Café — Restaurant in San Diego

Xmas Eve night mare at Pacifica breeze Cafe at SAN The waitress was rude. She told me "I give you 10 minutes we are closing". I hadn't even started sipping on my IPA Draft beer which cost me approx $12 B4 tax All of sudden started screaming at me get out you can't take your drink out, get out now or I will call the police. Tried to reason with her please next time give your customers enough time warning cause I don't want to just pour out my drink. But am leaving as fast as I can. I had my coffee mug, with tea latte which she accidentally knocked over and creamy tea was everywhere. I asked for a to go cups for my water She told me that wasn't allowed so I said fine how about water? She gave that Then she grabbed my beer glass and walked off with it to call the manager to get me out . All in in a span of less 10 minutes Clearly she has no PR acumen. The manager a young looking guy came in soon after didn't know any better thought more polite. All I was doing is sitting in comfortable place to have a nice dinner while waiting for my ride. Sat down and ordered a beverage. Server started making the beverage and then told me whilst making it she was subbing a key ingredient because they didn't have it. The drink wasn't the same, nor was it good. A $20 cocktail.

After placing my order 20-25 minutes later, server advises that they do not have the key part of my sandwich and if I would accept a different preparation of the sandwich. I asked her to simply cancel the order. I had already put the cash in the cup for the full bill of the sandwich and cocktail. She gave me back the cost of the sandwich so she essentially tipped her self 50% for the drink that wasn't even what I ordered. When I said to her my change should be the cosrt of the drink and I would then provide the tip she said she couldn't do that. I told her that was not accurate or appropriate but I left.

I understand places are shortstaffed but 86ing something on a menu is standard practice. It shouldn't occur in the manner in which this occurred; not once but twice.

Rude staff, nasty food. I ordered fish and chips at the register for $17.95. My wife wanted something else so I told the guy we’d be at a food court table which is 15 feet from their tables. He said they wouldn’t bring it out there and that I’d have to wait at one of their tables.

They had about 50 tables, only 2 of them were seated, so my wife and I sat at the closest table to the food court. Immediately a waitress confronted us and told us we couldn’t sit there. I told her I ordered fish and chips and was told to sit here. Her response was “no you didn’t”.

At this point I tried to get a refund and leave but the manager apologized for her behavior and assured me the food would be good. I wish I had insisted on my money back because the fish they served me was burnt so badly it wasn’t edible. Meanwhile, the fries were cold and limp. We had to catch our flight so I threw it away and left hungry.
