If you're looking to turn your taste buds into bacon groupies, Slater's 50/50 in Liberty Station is your gastronomic guru! Picture this: a burger so epic, it's like it went to bacon boot camp and came out as the commander-in-chief of flavor. Their burgers aren't just sandwiches; they're culinary Mona Lisas, except Leonardo da Vinci traded his paintbrush for a grill and his canvas for a bun. And let's talk about their PB and Jealousy burger – it's like a culinary conspiracy theory: How did they manage to sneak natural peanut butter and rich jelly onto a bacon burger without causing a flavor revolution? It's like taking a delicious stroll down memory lane to your childhood PB&J days, except now you're an adult and you have the power to add bacon. It's a flavor symphony where every bite is a standing ovation. And let's not overlook the unsung hero of Slater's 50/50: the crispy Brussels sprouts. These little green nuggets of joy are the unsung champions of the appetizer world. They're like tiny veggie superheroes, emerging from the kitchen with a crispy exterior that gives way to a tender, flavorful center. One bite, and you'll be a Brussels sprout believer, wondering how something so humble could taste so divine. So, while you're busy indulging in bacon-infused brilliance, don't forget to pay homage to these crispy green gems—they're the perfect prelude to the bacon bonanza awaiting you. So, if you're ready to transcend ordinary burgers and embark on a bacon-fueled journey of epic proportions, Slater's 50/50 is your ticket to taste bud paradise. Just be prepared to have your mind (and your mouth) blown!

Suggestion to visit this restaurant was by family.... Arrived at the restaurant very excited to try something new(530ish). No hostess at front to sit people for the first 5 mins. Once at our table the waiter asked us for our drink order, my husband and I asked for a beer, water and apps. Beer came, with no water. We sat, we drank. One app arrived with another that we did not order. No water. We then ordered our main entrees. I asked for another beer and water(again) The waiter stated, 'the water will take a while.' 2nd round of beers came(same order as before), my husband's beer was incorrect and his came before mine, 20 mins later mine came, both were not in pint glasses this time, and they were dirty. Food finally came (7ish), in looking at how under cooked the burgers were, we realized we were never asked how we wanted our burgers cooked to begin with. Also asked the gentlemen who brought out our entrees for water, in which he brought it right out. We looked over the menu at the beginning and saw Google reviews and we're excited about the dessert options they had but without water for roughly and hr and a half, burgers not cooked to our liking and 3rd order of beers never making it out. We decided to take our business elsewhere. The fact that it was not super busy, great location, great weather to sit outside made this visit for these out of towners very disappointing. I can't say we would recommend it.

Slater's 50/50 is a California original, named for the founder's 50% ground bacon and 50% ground beef burger. Situated in Liberty Station, this is a great location with game night Tuesdays and daily specials to enhance your visit. I ordered the Lone Star and it was fantastic! It's a monster burger, and the BBQ and garlic aioli work well to enhance the overall flavors. I didn't care for the fries - they're more bitter - but my wife enjoyed the sweet potato fries. The Vampire Dip shareable is really good, but it's more bread bowl than dip, so it's not worth ordering. For dessert, I had to try the Ultimate S'mores and it didn't disappoint. Super rich and incredible if you enjoy campfire s'mores, but it's definitely a heavy shake so be warned if you're stuffed after your meal. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and patient. It was a great place to eat, even with four young kids, because of the staff. We arrived for bingo, and the family really enjoyed playing. If you're coming specifically for game night, ask to sit near the host of the game, because it can be tough to hear otherwise. The TVs around the place have sports and movies, so it's a good blend for everyone. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd eat here again.

I have only walked out of a restaurant twice in my entire life and this place was one of them.

We are sat and inside it's absurdly loud with music to the point that I can't even hear my husband who is on the other side of the table. We asked to be sat outside so we could avoid the loud music to actually hear each other. At this point, we are greeted by a nice server who said he would get some waters and be back to drop off our water. The water comes and there are black particles in my water. I pick it out, and my husband being nice says, here you can drink mine there's nothing in there.

My husband and I decided what we were ordering on the menu. I ordered the Lone Star Burger with onion rings my husband the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries. I got a Dr. Pepper and my husband a beer. Took 15 minutes for the beer to come out and someone besides our server delivered it. We see our server running around and stop him to ask, where is the Dr. Pepper? He said he will be right out with it. Next thing that arrives is our food. Again asking where my drink is.

Delivered to our table: My husband got a sad excuse for a chicken sandwich which tasted like fish and was served quite wet and for sure not fried. My onion rings were stale to the point that I didn't want to eat the rest of my food and my husband for sure didn't want to eat chicken that tasted like wet fish.

Oh and finally after the nasty food, my Dr. Pepper finally arrived. I went inside to ask for a manger to find out, our server was the manager on duty.

He acted as if he didn't know me initially and I let him know that my service was awful and we didn't want any of the food because of its taste and appearance. He tried to justify the food saying that's how it's supposed to be and taste as they "brine" their chicken. As someone who has been a server and a bartender in the past for a restaurant that used to brine their chicken, that's not how it's supposed to look or taste.

I didn't have any interaction with anyone else besides the host who greeted us for 20 seconds, but if our server was the manager on duty and provided that bad of service, and the kitchen prepared that gross of food, I understand why this place is empty on a Friday when all the parking lots are full at lunch time.

As someone that lives down the street and is a local to this area, I say stay away and make the drive a few blocks down the road to a more local place. This is a tourist trap and...

We recently booked a retirement party here for 100 or so guests, and cannot say enough about how great the venue, the staff, and the entire process with them was, from beginning to end. We were already prepared to spend more than they expected or needed us to spend (VERY reasonable!) in order to justify holding the event, which included giving us the patio area and part of the bar for our guests. Unlike many other places around Liberty Station and nearby, they charged nothing upfront so everything we spent went towards food and drinks. They were also extremely accommodating of however we wanted to arrange our covered expenditures as far as full meals or just apps, full open bar or just beer and wine, and anything else we could imagine. And just for good measure, the food was great and you can't beat the selection of beers. They even asked what kind of music we'd like playing during the event! All of this was puntuated by OUTSTANDING customer service from beginning to end. We had a steady stream (without being too many) emails leading up to the event providing updates, asking about what apps we wanted to have ready upon arrival, and just reminders of what they needed from us as we got closer. When we arrived for the event the staff greeted us and introduced us to the servers they had assigned to work our event, who were likewise exceptionally pleasant, attentive, and immediately responsive to any and all requests. Thank you so much to all of them (management and wait staff alike) for making our event an enormous success. I can't imagine going anywhere else for an event like this, and wish we knew to do so sooner. We hope we'll be back again soon, with thanks again...
