Coming to this place was the right choice. They are kinda a secluded hidden gem that is just out in a lot.

Every dish we had was amazing. The Vietnamese Fennel Cake. Bahn Beu was so large unlike other traditional places so it was worth the price that you are paying for.

As for myself I got the Vietnamese Udon and I am blown away by the taste of this soup. I've been trying to find a replacement for similar soups that I had back home in Asia (bangkok) when it comes to seafood soup. This was like one of those pricy quality soup full of umami that you can find in expensive Chinese restaurant where they would serve it with fish maw or like shark fin. Yea this taste exactly like that minus the shark fin or like sea cucumber. Having a taste of this soup brings back memories as if I am transported back home. I would highly recommend someone who haven't tried out a good traditional seafood soup to give this a try. Also they don't go cheap with the crab meat since it's so plenty and it really is a bang for your buck.

My friend got the dry noodles Cao Lau. It taste like dry thai boat noodles and the flavor is just so elevated even for dry noodles.

After a few bites we know that we had to get some dishes to go so we decided to get an order of the turmeric noodles. The turmeric noodles was okay though maybe its because we had it to go.

Would be coming back...

The food here is delicious and unique. It's hard to find a central Vietnam cuisine even in the bay area and this place does not disappoint. I love their banh beo, all versions of mi quang and even the store aesthetic and music. If you look at the decor, you'd realize that many items are actually brought over FROM Vietnam. For example their prized (but we'll used and cracked) dishware for the banh beo is probably from Vietnam. You won't find those here. Their customer service is impeccable. Apparently they used the wrong portions for my Thai tea and automatically didn't charge me when we got to the register. Unfortunately I was unable to tip because I paid w card. Do not let the emptiness of this store fool you, great place should be packed with customers. I highly recommended to my entire...

Surprising nice restaurant in business office area. I drive by everyday but only get to check it out since my friend suggested. This restaurant offers an array of dishes, mainly soup base and largely specialty from middle region of Vietnam ; more so than others. I had Mi Quảng Ga` (chicken noodle Quảng Ngãi style) its portion is plentiful, presentation is different and pleasing (not like having everything in a big soup bowl). Nice touch on that. Taste is great. I like it since they use free range chicken w skin and bone (not industrial chicken meat only) people prepare to get down with the chewey and de-bone yourself. A bit on the pricey side, but will come back n try other dishes. The ambient is better than typical VN restaurant. It also has a stage for I guess Karaoke singing or...

A Delicious Revisit After 6 Years After a long gap of 6 years, I found myself returning to this restaurant and ordering Mi Quang. The food remains as delicious as I remembered it to be. Not every dish on the menu hits the mark — there were a few that did not meet my expectations. However, the dishes I ordered today were excellent; the Mi Quang was flavorful and satisfying, a true delight for my palate. In addition to the Mi Quang, I also tried their Pho Ga. This dish was equally commendable and added positively to my dining experience here. Overall, despite some dishes falling short, others like Mi Quang and Pho Ga reaffirmed why I fell in love with this place six years ago. It’s always nice when some things don't change!

My husband wanted to be reminded what mi quang tasted like. I wanted to try a couple of appetizers. We ordered mi quang with fried fish. Tasty, almost seems like a chicken broth with the noodles. I think I would like yellow noodles to the fish, it has more of a bite. I liked the fried gio and banh beo. Went again with friends for dinner. Fun seafood noodles. One with udon noodles in a broth and a dry vermicelli noodle. Both tasty. We doubled the banh beo order which were great. A bo kho with banh mi bread was tasty as well.

We were craving central Vietnamese food after visiting Hoi An and we are so glad to see Cao Lau on the menu. The restaurant is very clean and have nice decor. We ordered the Banh Beo (water fern cake), Mi Cao Lau, and Mi Quang Ca. Everything was very delicious and came out quickly. The Mi Cao Lau was very flavorful but a bit salty for our preference. Service was also very friendly and good on a slow Saturday night. They have a parking lot. They also have a karaoke stage that it looks like Friday is the fun night.
