I may have had too much expectations for this location. I initially went to this restaurant because I was craving Japanese style curry with fried pork cutlet on top. Then I had the misfortunate decision to also get miso flavor tsukemen ( imagine ramen but broth is concentrated and served on the side). The curry was disappointing for few reasons, mainly they used store bought roux, which I do it too most of the time, but they served it in most basic version of it and pork cutlet was a pre-frozen cutlet, most likely also store bought. Most Japanese restaurants would serve some kind of salad to go with this dish, but they had a slice of tomato and maybe two dozen kernels of sweet corn on the plate. 😨 The tsukenmen was also very disappointing. The broth felt watered down to a certain degree and they tried to mask the flavor by adding in some kind of vinaigrette or something akin to it, because it tasted sour. I ordered the miso flavor broth, but it tasted sour. The toppings were mostly overcooked and menma or marinated bamboo shoots were mushy. The chashu aka pork belly slices had a distinctive torch mark on them, but tasted bland and cold. It must have been sitting in a container from the cold box. Literally the only saving grace of this restaurant was cleanliness and no wait, but I guess the latter portray a bigger picture for the restaurant. If you’re on the rush and want to grab somewhat of an ok to subpar Japanese food come here, but if you want something more authentic and packaged better; go somewhere else. I really wanted to like this place but sadly I’m...

Yummy and affordable Japanese meal.

Food ==

Spicy Maje Ramen (5/5) This was abit of a surprise, I was expecting a soupy noodles but it turned out to be a dry ramen.

The food arrived promptly and was beautiful arranged. Always awesome to see food nicely plated, makes them more appetising!

The taste was superb! It was a really unique and yummy tasting dish. It's has a mix of spicy, salty, sweet and sour, it was really good. I'm super glad I chose this.

Mini Chasu Don (4/5) Though it's called a mini bowl, it was pretty sufficient to be a meal on its own.

The meat were tasty and a decent portion. The rice was good too, though it would have been better if they added a tad more sauce.

Agedashi Tofu (2/5) The tofu was supposed to be an appetiser but it came after the main course.

The dish was unfortunately too sour, perhaps too much vinegar.

Overall, I really like this restaurant. I believe I'll come by again if I'm...

My girlfriend and I came here to this place for dinner after our movie. The staff were attentive and we we were seated promptly. They have a tv with anime playing which is a huge plus for me.

Their menu is easy to navigate and they also include the details of their Ramen challenge. My girlfriend ordered the shoyu tsukemen where the broth to dip the noodles tasted a bit sweet, but also the right amount of salty to give the noodles a great taste. I ordered the niku ramen which had a little bit of heat and plenty of meat. We also shared a mini chashu Don which was just right. The only thing I didn't like too much were that the noodles felt a little overcooked.

Overall, our dinner experience was fantastic and we will definitely be back if we are...

This place is not closed at all! Wonderful ramen broth with great cuts of meat. I wandered here during a lunch break since I was craving some ramen, and it did not disappoint. They’re currently doing takeout only, but the lovely couple took pity on me for needing to bike back to my office with a bag of ramen so they let me eat inside. This place seems to be missing the office lunch crowd, and is surprisingly quiet for the quality of food. Would recommend anyone check this out since it’s pretty good ramen for the price. Will definitely be coming again!

Beef steak don is a recommended choice, with it's tender texture and light but tasty flavor. They offer a "ramen challenge" where you must eat a really large bowl of ramen in 25 minutes. Photos of challengers and winners are on the walls. The restaurant is very family friendly and bathrooms are clean. Looking forward to returning.
