King Palace — Restaurant in San Ramon

I am not a person to leave reviews and never had until this time and I wish I could leave 0 stars but that’s not possible, I have came here to eat more then a handful of times and always had a good dinner for the price and quality until the last time I ate here. Everything was normal until the paying process, so we got our check and paid in cash, we got our change and left a tip even though they already include a tip in the bill for 2 people dinning. This older lady that serves the food and seats customers comes back to my table before I leave she tells me that my tip was not enough money, she wanted 18% saying that “Wasn’t the service good” but that wasn’t the case I left a cash tip over the tip they already include in the bill and I found it disrespectful to ask customers for more money then we already paid. She starts screaming at me saying I need to leave more money and I told her “I’m already leaving you a cash tip why are you asking for more” she was mad I didn’t leave more and yells at me to get out of her restaurant and never come again, by far the most disrespectful restaurant...

I have eaten here a total of 5 times. The last two experiences have been pretty negative. Its not the food but the service. My wife got an order to go, she just got a small order or rice as our daughter wasnt feeling well. When she went to pay with her cc she was given some static about the cc fees for a small order (I get it, its technically a small business so they dont want to pay the fees, so I let it go)

Next visit, there were 3 of us and after we went to pay once we finished eating they said their cc machine wasn't working all day and we should go to the ATM across the parking lot to get cash. Why didnt they say something before we sat down? The service here just isnt very good, the owner has an attitude and it feels like the customers are a burden. If the food was spectacular, I would tolerate it, but there are other places that have better food and...

Great place for lunch. They over 3 dozen lunch special (a small bowl of hot and sour soup, entree, fried rice or steamed rice, deep fried wonton strips, fortune cookie for dessert, and hot tea) to choose from $8.25+. Service is fast. Food is served hot right off the searing wok. If you live in the area there is always a 15% off coupon being mailed to you or if you eat dinner, you get a credit of the price you ordered for your next meal to use. And for those in the know, King Palace offers a 3 dish special for a set price for dinner. Located in the Safeway complex on Bollinger Canyon Rd in the Gale Ranch area, it's the only Chinese restaurant in the area.
