Wow! I am flipping out at how good Eggflip is 😵💫.
You can find this little fast-food Korean egg toast joint tucked away at the front corner of a complex on Harbor Boulevard with decent parking. While it's got a bit of a warehouse feel inside, the wall art and graphic designs used are super cute, with their back wall featuring - you guessed it - eggs!
There is a large menu up front, but you can view pictures of the food on the small self-service screens available at the register up front.
Everything we tried felt like it was made with a lot of love and the flavors were built together thoughtfully for a very special experience.
First, for the bulgogi toast, the toast was a soft and fluffy milkbread that was beautifully browned. And the bread didn't feel too oily and was closed up at the bottom to catch all of the juices. The egg was delicate, the cheddar cheese nicely melted within, and the bulgogi was tender, soaked in a beautifully balanced savory and sweet sauce. For $10, it felt like good value for how filling and delicious it was.
We also tried a bowl featuring their turkey sausage patty as the star of locomoco topped tator tots. The gravy was just the right thickness (like a glaze) and was so flavorful without being too salty. The turkey patty was surprisingly so tender too. We gobbled up the less saucy tater tots with a small side of a homemade hot-mayo based sauce
I heard others in the restaurant raving about their food as they ate it too. These people know how to put together crazy delicious flavor combinations. To top that off, while the food felt indulgent, none of it felt too salty or greasy.
No, Eggflip stands distinctly above other similar egg-sandwich joints and feels so unique with their additional tater tot bowls and burrito offerings.
If that's not enough for you to steer over to Eggflip, the service is wonderful too. The owner's sister worked so hard to check in on our experience and hyped up her favorite dishes. Why wouldn't you want to support such nice people who make the most addictive bites in OC?

Read moreRecently saw Eggflip advertised, and I thought it would be worth driving out to try. Overall, it was very enjoyable.
Not being familiar with the area, I was surprised the location was in what appeared to be a business complex. That, in it of itself is no big deal, just be aware of what to look for when you go there.
Upon entry, I was greeted by an extremely friendly lady. She was prompt to show me the point of sale terminal and talked me through my order, and advised me if I had any questions, to ask.
Ordering was simple without difficulty. I ordered the Beef Bulgogi sandwich, tater tots, and a coffee. Not being a fan of cheese, I easily navigated to where I could check the "no cheese" option. Start to finish, a very easy process.
The wait time was within what I would consider acceptable. I ordered my meal to go, and it came out in what was similar to a happy meal box from McDonalds, clean and convenient.
Once in the parking lot, I was eager to try the sandwich, which is to say I was hungy, so I quickly dove into the sandwich in my vehicle.
Although I ordered the sandwich without cheese, it still had the cheese on it, which is why I rated service 4 out of 5 stars. Over a life time of orders not coming out as asked, I'm used to it and it didn't ruin my day. I was able to do a quick "cheese-ectemy" and continued on with my breakfast.
Overall, I thouroughly enjoyed the sandwich. The ratio of meat to eggs was perfect, the sauce was very tasty, and the milk toast was a pleasnt surprise. A word of advise, it was a bit on the messy side (not a complaint), so have some napkins on hand if you choose to eat in the car.
As for the Tater Tots, lets face it, they were tater tots. I would recommend grabbing a packet of the hot chili sauce which is with the condiments next to the counter. That added a nice kick to the tots.
In closing, I will definetly go back. Next time I want to try the egg and...
Read moreI loved my meal here! I’ve been to the location in Minneapolis so I was excited to see them expand in OC. Best part is that they offer bowls and burritos at this location!
-Atmosphere: clean, simple, fun art on the wall. It’s a large open space with tables and chairs, not the place you’d want to stay at for a while but great for enjoying your meal. -Staff: We had Ellie taking care of us and she was so nice and friendly! She loved to know how experience was in MN and even let us try their own spicy sauce (which was delicious). We had a great conversation with her. Her and her brother’s commitment to run a successful restaurant showed with her love and compassion and I would love to come back again! -Food: I had the beef bulgogi burrito with tots. It was perfectly balanced with flavor and was a large meal! Make sure you ask for the spicy sauce! My friends also had the sandwiches with were just as good as the ones back at the original location!
Overall: We enjoyed our meal and felt completely satisfied with the value of the meal and the quality. But what makes this place special is the staff. Please come check it out and say Hi to Ellie and have a...
