Imagine having such a horrible experience from a restaurant from over 6 months ago and still remembering the details from it. I have decided to speak up about my experience. (FYI to restaurant management team: Kind of a bad sign to have customers STILL remember a bad experience from that long ago.)

My partner and I walked in on Jan 4 or 5, 2024 in the afternoon with one fresh sea urchin in a small tinfoil tray from the fish market nearby. I asked for a table of two to the hostess (older Caucasian woman), and she just jumped to "we don't allow outside food in." (She didn't greet us or welcome us in by the way.) And I said, "But we are ordering lunch from here?" And she said, "you're ordering from here??" I replied with, "Yes, and this is just one sea urchin." The hostess just rolled her eyes at me, shrugged, and stated, "I guess we can sit you." "I guess" is one of the most passive-aggressive things you could possibly say to a customer. She didn't even ask us if we wanted to be seated inside or outside, and she just placed us at a table outside.

To add on, she did not have friendly or welcoming service, instead it felt very condescending and rude. It took about 20 minutes for anyone to come take our order even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Our server also did not check in with us at all during our meal or refill our waters.

I completely understand that some restaurants do not allow outside food in. However, the way that the hostess handled it was not appropriate or respectful. The service here was extremely poor. Essentially, I would not come here again!

UPDATE: the restaurant response only brings up the outside food policy (which I stated above that I fully understand) and completely ignores the poor service. Goes to show how they avoid taking accountability.
