Seaside Florida Grill 1550 A1A Satellite Beach, FL 32937 4 Stars I was excited to try Seaside Florida Grill in Satellite Beach, as it has the same owners as Le Crepe De France, which would be a BBDO Top 5- 5-star restaurant if they fixed the service nightmare. I know it sounds hypocritical when I consistently say service doesn't matter, only execution. This place is the exception that proves the rule. However, that does not appear to be the case here. Seaside Florida Grill is humming along on all cylinders. The first thing I noticed was their fantastic drink menu. Gina is our service professional today and she is outstanding in every way. I asked Gina for one plate of Lobster Pasta, an order of Lemon Caper Grouper, some Blue Cheese Mussels and one New York Strip (medium rare). I snapped some pics of the place, and that was when I realized there was zero internet access. There was no usable WiFi at all, and it would seem this building effectively blocks all service. This is not a bad thing. Talk to your tablemate! Gina was soon seen returning with our order, and I set myself to the task at hand. Turn your peepers to the photos, and you will see how delicious everything looks. However, as we all know, looks can be deceiving, so I put my tools of culinary extirpation in my hands and got to work. Every now and then, when I use words or phrases such as “culinary extirpation,” I get some joker on Social Media screaming about the grandiloquence of my diction. I'm not trying to sound pompous; it's just how the words flow sometimes. Returning to the job at hand, I plopped a forkful of the Lobster pasta in my mouth and was immediately wowed by the sauce. The Lobster was tender and cooked to perfection. But, it's the sauce that stole the show here. When reading it on the menu, I was apprehensive as I thought the White Cheddar cheese sauce might overpower the delicacy of the lobster meat. Usually, one sees a dish such as this with a milder cheese such as Provolone or Gruyere. This was not the case as the sauce perfectly complimented the exquisite Lobster meat. Kudos! Moving on to the Lemon Caper Grouper. The fish was fresh, tender, and cooked to flaky perfection, while the sauce was, again, spot on. This is your basic lemon caper butter seafood sauce; there is nothing special in that. It's the execution that sets this apart from other joints. Whoever was the Saucier back there deserves a raise! This sauce had my taste buds looking for a dance partner. This brings me to the second-to-last dish to be reviewed: the Blue Cheese Mussels. These are the same mid-grade New Zealand Mussels found in every joint in the country. This dish isn't about the mussels; it's all about the sauce. Consisting of blue cheese, white wine, shallots, and parsley, this sauce would win awards in any competition anywhere. Hands down. Amazing! Turning to the last item on my plate today, the New York Strip, listed on the menu for a paltry 29 clams, I just had to try it. While it was cooked properly, it tasted as expected. It was choice grade (if that) and not prime. With a higher grade of protein, this place could be Best of Brevard. The execution and sauces are outstanding. The Big Boy says, “Go ahead. Give 'em a try. You won't be disappointed.”

Stopped in for a late afternoon 'lunner' before heading off for National Tequila Day fun ... so ~4:30 on an off-season Thursday. No problem with parking or seating, only one other table was at the restaurant. Single server working both tables, no issues with service. Clean and well lit. Appetizers. Key Lime Sea Scallops. Scallops were good sized, and cooked correctly. I was a little disappointed that the Key Lime butter sauce didn't have quite as much lime flavor as expected - covered up a bit by a black pepper flavor. Coconut Mango Shrimp were snappy, not too much batter, and new to us, the coconut flavor (ground up? some kinda powder) was in the batter, not 'pointy' slivers of coconut. Main courses. Lobster Fettuccini. The pasta was cooked correctly. Four small claws, didn’t think there was any tail meat. Cheddar cheese sauce could have used a little more butter (we added butter to our left over portion at home/lunch the next day it was just right). Shrimp and scallops. Like the appetizers, the shrimp and scallops were good size and cooked correctly. Very good flavor, but again, the sauce was a little peppery and hid the Key Lime flavor. Certainly worth a stop.

First time visiting and it was good, but not exceptional. The brightest star was the young man who was hosting who greeted us and offered a huge smile, versus just standing there staring at us waiting for us to speak first, which is what most host/hostesses do now! They had the door open and we sat toward the back so it was a bit warm for us. Our waitress didn't seem to be totally in top of things, I never got a drink refill and my husband had one, both of us spent the dessert course with no drink. The food was good. We both had the grouper and it was a good sized portion and the flavor was good, not Earth shattering like some of the reviews I've read. We finished with the lavender creme brulee which was very good. The flavor was very mild, not over powering. All in all, it was a good evening and we will give them another try in the future.

⭐️⭐️ Disappointing Overall Experience

I attended this restaurant for a birthday dinner tonight and just got home feeling underwhelmed. The food was adequate at best, but very inconsistent across our group.

I split the crab cake appetizer with my sister-in-law, and we actually enjoyed it—but oddly enough, others at the table who ordered it as an entrée received a completely different version. Their crab cakes were mushy, unappetizing, and one person didn’t eat theirs at all.

I ordered the grouper, which looked and tasted like a frozen filet—not fresh at all. Honestly, I’ve had better fish from the seafood section at Publix. Two others in our group ordered the surf and turf—one rare, one medium rare—but both steaks were extremely overcooked (closer to well-done), and the shrimp tasted undercooked. Nearly every dish was overpowered by salt.

Drinks were a letdown as well. I wouldn’t recommend ordering any of the cocktails off the menu—they tasted unbalanced and thrown together. It didn’t seem like an experienced bartender was working; instead, servers were making their own drinks, and it showed. On top of that, our server struggled to open a corked bottle of wine, repeatedly breaking the cork and leaving bits floating in our glasses. It felt like a basic skill that should have been handled with more care.

The wait time was long throughout. Even the complimentary bread took 30 minutes to arrive, and it was nothing special.

The biggest issue of the evening was our server. I didn’t catch her name, but she wasn’t friendly or attentive. She messed up our checks, and when we pointed out a mistake, she told us four separate times that she’d have to pay for it herself. That kind of guilt-tripping is unprofessional and makes the guest feel uncomfortable.

Overall, I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend this place. Between the inconsistent food, poor service, and mishandled drinks, there are much better...

Husband and I went Friday night to celebrate my birthday with my son and daughter in law. Lovely inside, nice menu, we were excited to try it as a new fine dining option (but surprised that they use paper napkins...that should have been a clue). Cocktails were ordered (2 martinis $12 each, wine $9 and beer $7). We decided to try the lobster bites appetizer ($17 for 6 tablespoon size balls) it says breaded lobster bites, but they were more like a fritter batter and none of us could taste the lobster so it was disappointing. Husband and I ordered the snapper w/dijon sauce ($35), son ordered grouper w/caper sauce ($34) and DIL the lobster pasta ($29). Waiter brought our meals, but brought snapper for our son instead of grouper. When he asked about the mistake the waiter said " well if you want me to take it back for the grouper it will take awhile", he decided to just keep the snapper, though really wanted the grouper. DIL lobster pasta was great but all 3 snapper dishes were terrible. I don't mind skin on fish but it needs to be crispy, it was not. I lifted the mushy skin to eat some fish and it was so overcooked, dry and salty I could not eat it. I sent mine back. Waiter asked if I wanted something else and I got a bowl of the lobster bisque ($15), it was ok. Husband and son asked for some extra sauce so they could eat the dry fish as they were hungry. The manager came over before we left and we told him about the overcooked fish, he blamed it on new kitchen staff. The bill was high $230 with the tip, it was not worth it, we probably will...
