Aside from the food which is mostly okay, the main problem is the weird service. On the surface, it seemed friendly but halfway through my meal, the waitress shoved a bill in my face and told me “take your time.” Thanks, I’ll take my time without your permission. The restaurant was almost empty. While I sat waiting, I asked Courtney, my server, for bread and she told me “it’s extra” then named every single thing I ordered and bread wasn’t one of them. I told her I understood what I ordered and again asked her to bring bread and this time she told me she has white brown and something else and I replied that any of that is okay yet she brought nothing. If a customer asks for bread then bring bread! It doesn’t require an argument! What restaurant doesn’t provide bread with a meal? Especially if you request it. I mentioned to the cashier - you need to stand in line to pay, instead of paying at your table - and the cashier just stared at me blankly. Is this the first time they’ve ever heard this feedback? Do they shove a bill in everyone’s face while they’re still eating? The water had a really bad aftertaste. Maybe it was the oversized childlike plastic cups they brought all the drinks in that were causing it. I really don’t know. When my meal did arrive it was okay - I had the broiled whitefish which was good - but the baked potato was both hard and overcooked and the veg seemed to be from a frozen mix. I have to say I’ve been there before for the buffet - which is a tremendous deal, I think it was only $20 last time I went but the service that time was also very mixed. For example, the waitress brought us one glass of water for two people and by glass of course I’m referring to those giant red plastic cups and that I haven’t drank from since my 9th birthday party. I don’t think I received worse service than anyone else there but I’ve eaten in hundreds of restaurants and this is the only one that handed me a bill while I was still eating and refused to bring me bread. I hope this review raises their...
Read moreWe had a party of 10+ and we let them know earlier that day we were coming. When I got there to get a table for our party, the hostess told me that the majority of our party had to be present for us to be seated. She said the reason for this was so that they know which wait staff to assign to our table, or something along those lines. I didn’t understand because it was dead (on a Friday night).
Once more of our party got there, we asked to be seated again. We were met with the same response. We pushed back this time since this was a surprise dinner and they’d be here any minute. She finally complied. But she put a round table and a rectangle table together…
Our food was extremely lackluster. The cheese I got on my side salad smelled awful. I ordered the baked lasagna and it was flavorless and the meat tasted old. Other members of my party were not impressed with their meals, either.
Our waitress was GREAT though (I didn’t catch her name) and she’s the only reason why I’m giving 2 stars...
Read moreWe weren't greeted nicely, actually felt unwelcome! We arrived at 9:10pm, restaurant closed at 10pm, so there was plenty of time have a meal. Our server, Courtney, was so terrible, thank goodness there were 2 other servers there to pick up the slack for our table and the other tables around us she was serving!!! We asked repeatedly for things we needed, to only have her keep forgetting then finally get those things from a different server. We were given our bill, then left alone when it was obviously closing time, and all of the servers left! We had to pay our bill out at the front desk. I will never be back! The deli & snack bar looks so...
