Even though I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, my recent experience at Billy Macs has completely turned me away from the restaurant for good.
Last night my mom and dad and I ordered the taco plate, the buffalo wings and the chicken strips. My moms taco was soggy and flavorless. My dads chicken strips were mediocre at best. My wings? I love buffulo wings, I order them all the time and add something spicy like habanero. These wings were so hot I couldn't even put them to my lips. I had to have two drinks just to eat. Not to mention the carrots and celery were hard and mushy at the same time? I don't understand how that happens.
However that all I could have looked past as a āit happensā. It was the dip for the fries that took me over the limit. The ketchup had obviously been married into an old bottle as the label was falling off and the ketchup tasted like there was a tablespoon of bleach left in the bottom of the bottle before they married it. Then we ordered fry sauce to replace the ketchup and it was literally rotten.
I complained to the waiter and they basically said tough and did nothing to fix the situation. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything, but even a replacement of our meal or an acknowledgment of the mistake. Come on guys. Do better, I know you can. You used to be my favorite and now? Let me know when you have a new chef! I'll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo my friend and I got a couple of their breakfast . We both ordered the same thing. A 2 egg breakfast with hash Browns, (choice of meat) we got sausage and toast. Sad to say It wasn't anything to race about good it tasted kind of like old oil. I don't know how long the plate was sitting there waiting to be served but my eggs weren't warm, That tells me they were sitting there for several minutes getting cold. The hash Browns were cold as well And not extra crispy like we ordered We asked for extra crispy hash Browns and they were soft so my friend wouldn't eat hers. The sourdough toast and the English muffin were what one would expect. The sausage were pretty good. That was a $14 breakfast. 2 eggs, a small serving of hash Browns and 4 sausage. Maybe that's the going rate these days but it seemed a little high for what you got. And wasn't very good. We were disappointed. The servers were great-- friendly, personable, and welcoming. The food, no. Nobody likes cold eggs and called hash browns. There was no reason they should have been sitting there that long. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI agree that service is very slow (1-2 employees for the whole place). Lovely outside patio seating. My tacos were dry/not flavorful, and to get a side of Pico or salsa with the tacos is extra $$ (wweeeiirrd). No lime or lemon served with the fish taco. Margarita was delicious, though. $0.50 charged for Ranch for tots. Unfortunately, if you get the 3 taco combo (choose any 3, it's $15.95), but if you get 3 Ala carte tacos, you pay $6 each (for shrimp, fish etc). So get the combo and just don't eat the rice and beans š¤£. I got the pastor taco (dry meat), Mahi beer battered (delicious fish but one tiny piece that didn't even fill my tiny little taco see pic), and grilled shrimp (overcooked shrimp). The fish taco sauce is a Chipotle mayo. Not the typical fish taco sauce. A bunch of dry cabbage and very large chopped onions. Unimpressed. The tiny piece of Mahi was delicious, though, so next time, I'll get fish and chips if I ever return. Kiddo got the kid's burger and tots ($8.95). He said it...
