Baba Yaga came highly recommended by a colleague who visited a few weeks before we did. Baba Yaga did not disappoint! My husband and I were there for about 2 hours as we had some time to kill before heading to a concert. The bartender/barista, Nico, was incredible! Not only was she fast and efficient, her drink recommendations were on par with my requests. I had the Princess of Pentacles (fruity and refreshing) and a Six of Wands (I highly recommend for all of you Espresso Martini folks). Both were excellent. As far as décor, I loved the wood throughout, live plants hanging from the ceiling, and the awesome light fixtures. We hope to visit again soon!

Took the light rail down to the Sounders game. Got down here early and started to look for a bite to eat before the match. My interest was piqued when I saw the sign hanging outside (because Mussorgsky and I'm a nerd). I ordered the carne asada burrito, and holy forking shirt balls...IT. WAS. INCREDIBLE. The atmosphere and interior design were unique, funky, and genuinely awesome. Margs were solid. Xena Warrior Princess on the TV. Nuff said. TL;DR: The vibes are exquisite, and the food is even better.

A much required additional to pioneer square. A fun neighborhood to shop and drink and be merry in, with a shockingly low amount of good eats to accompany stellar drinks. Baba yaga provides tasty Mexican cuisine along with thoughtful cocktails and a cool ambiance without overbearing music or humans. The bartenders are considerate and conscious in their suggestions for good eats and drinks. Can’t wait to come on a crowded night but just as stoked to slide through after work!

Bartender was drunk when we got there (dark hair and glasses). Asked if we wanted shots to go when ordering,? We were all very confused. While the bartender was asking my friend where the liquor was for the shot he was pouring them (I’m not making this ish up, he asked where the bottle of mezcal was……), a very inebriated customer pushed me out of the way and proceeded to yell “WHERE IS THE BATHROOM”, looks at us, then at the bartender and asked him if she’s being rude and if he hated her…. He continued the conversation with her while we were in the middle of ordering. Then turns back to us like nothing happened.

Finally got our drinks. Shots and beers. Easy. We ordered some tacos and nachos. Tacos came out within a couple minutes. Nachos took almost 20. When they arrived it seemed like they had dumped the bottom of the bag and then covered it in random toppings (not listed on the menu). Thankfully the drunk bartender left before we did, but we didn’t order anything else. Not a good experience. Sad because this area has great potential, but they will not keep customers with...

Vibes, vibes, vibes, great music and food to match.

Probably the best spot in town for the whole crew over 21. They have 3 levels of lounging. While sipping on drinks and smashing authentic Mexican food, you might notice Xena or Thundercats playing on the TV. Afterwards, slip downstairs and watch a few talented bands rock the stage. From small, loclal up-and-comers to international acts, they are all stoked to play and it shows!

They also offer earplugs in the bar downstairs. You can tell they really care.

Sound and lights guys are perfectionist and add an extra layer of quality to your experience.

Never been so impressed with a venue. They staff is awesome and the patrons are almost as...
