The food itself is always inconsistent. Either too salty or not salty enough. The chefs themselves have poor hygiene standards either leaning on the same cutting boards, playing on their phones, that they cut steaks on. The kitchen itself is cleaned poorly and infrequently. Food will be left out at unsafe temperatures, Ie a bag of chicken strips being left out on a cart for the entire night while being used for the children’s menu. The cook on raw meats is always inconsistent. Most of their proteins come frozen while they charge the price that they charge, ex beef, salmon, tuna. I do not recommend eating leftovers from here as all of the food is prepared in advance, reheated to order, and if you take it home make sure to eat it cold as heating food more than twice can lead to temperature danger zones that lead to bacteria growth. The fryer is cleaned once in a blue moon, if the staff are really really bored. The front end staff do not have the support they need to provide the best customer service. Front of house will be waiting on back while the cooks just play on their phones. The plating of the dishes is fine. The portions are a little small for the price point. However you can get some beyond beautiful views when sitting on the deck. The restaurant is loud itself for how open it is.

This place will be closing in may for renovations. They will be increasing their prices. Management is the problem and will continue after the renovation. This renovation will tackle the clogged drains due to improper oil disposal. Among other things.

And a final note from someone who cannot have gluten. DO NOT EAT HERE. The pure amount of dangerous cross contamination for the gluten free dishes makes it laughable that they are considered gluten free. SAVE MONEY AND JUST...

Very disappointed with my experience at Willows. Messed up food and subpar service.

  1. Food was messed up in multiple areas. The salmon I got was very undercooked/borderline raw. The server agreed at once and returned the salmon to be re-cooked. Took upwards of 20 minutes to get it back.

  2. Steaks were nowhere near what was asked for. Two of our table ordered medium rare, but were given steaks that had a hint of pink to them (those were tolerable but still disappointing). The third steak ordered asked for a medium cook, but received an easily well done steak. She asked what the server thought and he went back and made another. This one came out close to Blue in the middle (see attached picture).

  3. Our food took forever. The dinner ended up taking 2:15 hours, and that’s without eating slow or trying to socialize too much. The tables next to us got food much earlier despite ordering later, mainly making us frustrated overall.

  4. May be small but our dessert plates (comped for the poor food) came out dirty. There were brown splotches on 3 of 5 plates. It wasn’t just stains, you could scratch them off. I just feel like you should probably check the plates beforehand, and our table was pretty fed up from the food and this was basically the final straw.

I don’t understand how this all happened really, seemed like maybe they were out a chef, or were rushing to get things done. I don’t understand the time wait for our food despite others being fast. I’m disappointed and feel sorry for our server, he didn’t deserve any of...

This is a breakfast and dinner review. Came here to celebrate a birthday for dinner after reading a number of positive Google reviews. I’m going to start off by saying we enjoyed our dinner so much, we came back to give breakfast at try. Dinner: started off with a glass of wine and a “old willow”. If you like an Old Fashioned…give this a try! A spirit forward blend, with a house made simple syrup and bitters….I was left wanting more! The bartender Tony truly is a craftsman of his trade! This is a drink that on its own bring me back to the restaurant. Onto the caprese salad….well seasoned fresh tomatoes and melt in your mouth mozzarella…you can’t go wrong! The salmon falls apart in your mouth. The lobster risotto…well flavored and served with a lobster tail…wow! The deserts that followed were fabulous! Thank you to Gaby, our server for her recommendations and fun service! For breakfast we had eggs Benedict with salmon and a granola parfait. Enjoyed a lovely view outside (see the video from our table). Thank you Mario for your fun service! We would definitely come back for breakfast and dinner. While this restaurant is a little off the beat and path of downtown Sedona, they have ample parking and a modern upscale atmosphere to boat. I don’t think you will be disappointed with anything...
