The hostess was nice and we were sat quickly. The waitress was nice and attentive. It didn’t take long to receive our food. The brisket sandwich was good and so was the honey BBQ sauce. I did end up taking the bun off so I could pick around the fat in the meat because half way through eating the sandwich there was quite a bit of it. I still enjoyed it..but I probably won’t get the brisket in sandwich form next time. I was a little disappointed in the Mac n’ Cheese because a lot of reviewers on here raved about it. It wasn’t bad by any means…just okay. I was surprised by how small of an amount I received as well. On the menu, ordering a side of that alone is $3.50. I hope that you get more than the amount I received as a side with my meal at that price. It wasn’t a bad experience by any means. Everyone was nice and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The food just didn’t leave enough of an impression for me to hurry back to eat here again. It is a $15 plus meal for a sandwich and a side. I will come here again and try a few other things. They are still relatively new and it seems they have awesome staff. If I’m wrong about this, I apologize.. From what I’ve seen, the menu posted online doesn’t show any kids menu. When I was waiting the short time in line to be seated, I noticed they had paper kid’s menus. Before eating here, I have spoken to quite a few people who said they wouldn’t eat here because they couldn’t afford a $13-$15 for all of their kids and themselves. If you offer a kid’s menu, It may be a good idea to put in on your menu that is posted online. Many locals have children and many tourists come to this area...
Read moreThe food here is quite good. Lighting in the bar area, as well as the dining area is nicely done. If you have a fan of sports, there's plenty of tvs to catch the game, yet not overwhelming to the atmosphere. We drove an hour to the area, and that's how we discovered it. It was so good the first time, we brought out daughter back out the next day to try it again. That's when things went a little south. During our meal, a Huge 'palmetto bug,' crawled out on the booth and wall right beside my daughter. She's not fond of them. Instead of helping to rid the issue and Really apologize, a different lady on staff said, "Welcome to the South." First, we're Southerners, dear. We know different bugs come in during certain seasons. But, y'all- we're in a restaurant where it was crawling up the wall directly by a person not even 6 inches away. "Welcome to the South," is Not the Proper response. Second, and let's be perfectly clear: as a Southerner, We know a Palmetto bug is in Fact a type of cockroach. Which was crawling right by my daughter up the wall where we were eating. So, I'd like to point out this place is in fact quite clean as well. It's not disgusting. It's just in an area where this can happen. I won't be back for a hot minute, not necessarily because of the roach, but because your staff dismissed a fear and concern of a patron. My daughter didn't over react. It was gross. Just admit it, move on, and get a little more spraying in. It could have easily fell onto our food. Again, it's a good spot. Great food. Nice atmosphere. Just can do without a...
Read moreSmoked is a great stop. Food is excellant. I got their ribs with NC sauce. The 1/2 rack with 2 sides was more than enough for for lunch. My sides where the toast and mac and cheese. Both aides where great. The ribs had a nice bark ( first time Ibused this term) and just the taste was very good then with the NC sauce it was really great. I will go back to get the ribs again just tontry different sauces. I forgot to really look at the menu because I went for ribs. If they have pulled oork Ibwill be trying that with different sauces I want to tey their SC yellow and the KC sauce. Sorry I will stay away from the Alabama white ( my taste buds on any white bbq sauce). Wife got chicken tacos and said they were good. Me if they have beef I would rather have beef. I sampled them and the small peppers they use ( about the size of my little finger nail) was really unique. Also they use a chopped cabbage instead of lettuce which I would need to have a whole taco to decide on but she said she wasnt a fan. Oh they have Cheerwine (raised near Salisbury) which was a great fountain drink. They have a large craft beer menu (pictured). The atmosphere was like sitting in a bbq place in the mountains. We had a view of the Shallote river and it did really give that atmosphere. But I know dark slow water is beach. (Mountains are rocky and swift). During rush hour out of the oarking lot is a hassle but other thsn traffic its a great plac. Service...our waitress was awesome did a great job very attentive. Go and enjoy this place. Several more menu items...
