So I have never had Afghan food before, and I have to say that this was awonderful first experience. Ashna was the wonderful gentleman that took my order and gave exceptional service. He knew it was my first time trying the food, so he gave me some great recommendations. I ordered the lamb and chicken over rice, which was just so flavorful and delicious. The rice was so aromatic and had great texture. The chickpeas and the protein that went on top of the rice was so savory and tender. I also ordered the samosa which it was the first time I have ever had that, and it was delicious. It was crunchy on the outside and it had this enjoyable vegetable filling in it, and it came with this spicy & sweet green sauce. The falafel I have to say was not my favorite because it was a little dry, but I ate it with my rice which had plenty of yummy sauce over it, so it was fine. I loved the food so much that I ended up ordering some lamb for my mom to go. MY mom is very picky and she absolutely loved it. Ashna let me know that they don't add anything to the lamb because they marinate it, and let me tell you whatever they marinade it in must smell divine, because the smell and the flavor was amazing. The lamb was so tender and juicy. I highly recommend stopping by and trying this place out. I know I will definitely be back to try more things...

Read moreI've been around four or five times to Palace Halal Food. It's Afghan food. I tried the restaurant. I got the Kofte kebab, it comes with rice pilaf, and Afghan bread. It was good. The second time I got Chalpi kebab. I liked it better than the Kofte, but both were good. Chalpi is a sort of burger patty with the rice pilaf. Green chutney on the side. Also, chickpeas in a small bowl with a brown or chickpea gravy to put on everything. I slather on the green chutney. Chalpi means "sandal" in Afghanistan, like it is "flat" or a "patty", I believe. Maybe, in Pashtun? It is a great experience and a good place. I suggest you try it. They said the Seekh Kebab was good. I want to try it there. I tried the Gyro once. It was good. Also the meals, like kebabs, come with a green chutney that is spicy. It is a condiment served on the side, in a small plastic container, and I ordered samosas which were delicious! They have food like falafel, Gyro, fried fish and shrimp,...
