This is the best restaurant I’ve been to in the entire state of Oregon. In every way, this restaurant continued to impress. We went here on 9/3/2022 for my fiancés birthday dinner. Walked in and there was a nice old man playing the piano. We were offered inside or out- we went outside. Porch lights and speakers playing music outside (light and romantic music, mind you). Then the drinks came. We both ordered “the bee’s knees” which was a gin cocktail. It was extremely delicious and sweet, even a little tart. We ordered the calamari, and WOW 10/10 stars. We get calamari Every where we go, and this place took the leader board on our number 1. He got the shrimp scampi. I got the short ribs. Both were extremely amazing. It’s obvious these cooks know how to wow your palate. The palomas cocktail we ordered furthered our amazement! Then… dessert. Which was free due to it being his birthday!! And even THAT was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The lemon whipped delight was so perfectly sweet and fluffy without any over doing it. To top all off, our server, Ella, was simply phenomenal. Gave great recommendations on the menu, catered to our every need, and was extremely hospitable and personable. Staff at this restaurant, thank you so much for making this such a TRULY special birthday for my sweetheart. He can’t stopped raving about it, and I know I won’t be! We will be back- but...
Read moreWe were a party of four at 7pm without a reservation on a bustling Saturday night and got seated quickly. The servers were attentive, friendly and welcoming. They brought warm rustic brown bread immediately and drinks soon after, which we appreciated since the restaurant was quite busy and our food took a little while to get out to us. In the meantime, we listened to a band duo that were REALLY talented…unfortunately, just too loud. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5. It was nearly impossible to have a conversation without leaning over the table and raising our voices/repeating ourselves to be heard. In our opinion, it would have been much better if they had not used microphones and just played acoustically. If Guerras was just a bar where the band was the main attraction or it was an outdoor setting, it would have been fine to amp up the volume that much. But we actually wanted to talk to our friends while dining in a rather intimate indoor space. That being said, the rest of our experience was excellent. We had the beef short ribs and chicken pesto and both were so delicious! The portions were generous, the meat was tender and the flavors spot on. We will definitely be back, but if there is music, we will check the decible...
Read moreReally really want to like this place as it looks awesome and is local, but the service my wife and I received tonight was unacceptable for a restaurant at this price point. To recap, after being seated in the patio we waited 25 minutes before any acknowledgement was made. And this would have gone longer had we not flagged down another table’s server. In those 25 minutes numerous staff went by our table with not even a look in our direction. Note that the restaurant was maybe 60% full so not exactly slammed. Not a great feeling watching other groups receive timely attention and delivered entrees, appetizers, etc. when you’re stuck waiting to make your initial drink order. The server we flagged down took our drink order and apologized for the inconvenience as she was unaware of who was supposed to be serving us. 10 minutes later drinks were delivered. We ended up not staying for dinner and opted for the check right on the spot. Food looked good but just could not fathom enduring any longer after such a bad start. I’m not the type to leave bad reviews but the feeling made us feel so unwelcome that I’m compelled to write this. 2 stars for being new and the apologetic server (manager did not stop by). Hopefully we’ll have better...
