El Pacifico — Restaurant in South Houston

The food is great without a doubt But do not recommend going a hour & half before closing As the service at the bar was terrible We were the at the bar sitting waiting as the other 3 couples were getting full service attention as the bartender was fully avoiding us by all means necessary as I'm guessing we weren't to her ethic standards to be bothered by her As all couples ordered drinks & received all their drinks promptly as she finally had no choice but to come get our order as we waited the other couple's received chips as they waited for their food & we got our drinks with no chips after attending to all of the rest at the bar with 3 new people arriving at the dar So as their food was coming asking everyone else if they'd like to order another drink So waving her down so we could order food but steady avoiding any eye contact serving others with full undivided attention carrying on conversation as I'm trying to waving her down so her annoying notice of asking us what we would like to order So we ordered food & asked if I could get another drink since the attention was focused on everyone but us As other couples getting their food & the 3 new people that just sat down getting their drinks & so by now I asked if I could receive my drink she said she forgot about my drink but fixing drinks just asked from other couples right after I reminded her bout mine So needless to say she wasn't getting any tip from me by this time Sandra was the bartender name so if your not to her liking don't expect any good service from her I've been to this spot several times before & had a very great time with the atmosphere being great with music & delicious food & I always sit at the bar & always had great service but Sandra the bartender this time around which was a new one to us made it seem if your Hispanic your not getting a good service & avoiding us by all means necessary On our other visit we'd have 4 drinks each & our dinner spending about $150-$180 with a $20 tip but tonight it was a 3 drink total & dinner without tip of $84 dollar bad service night we speak great Spanish by the way so it wasn't that & by her attitude of service I can imagine how more unpleasant it would've been to deal with her but I'm I guessing we weren't to her standards to get good service like the other 3 couples at...

This place was near where I drive weekly and finally decided to drop by. My server Danna was awesome right off the bat with a big smile which put me at ease. The chips were perfect and I loved the fact that they heat up the salsa which not many places do. I ordered the parillada for one and some stuffed jalapeños with like a seafood mix I think. For the jalapeños, they should prob forgo the fried part and try and perfect a bacon wrap one grill style. I didn't really like the fried jalapeño due to it being fried. The jalapeño with the filling itself was great though. The parillada was hearty since they did not skimp on the meat like other places do so I was like hell yea! Amazing experience. The food was hot and fresh. Like I could see the steam coming from the plate. The sushi was plentiful and fresh. Absolutely delicious recipes. Unique concept with so many TVs for watching sports. The waitress was kind and attentive. We were impressed and we will be back. The lunch portions were surprisingly generous. The restaurant looks and smells clean.

Update 6/16:

Make sure you try the El Paisano. Absolutely delicious sushi roll. I’ve never tasted such a thing. The chef has created a sushi roll with a Mexican style. Incorporating tomatillo sauce, fajita chicken and avocado. It’s magnificent. We first tried it on my birthday and went back a week later because we were craving it. You must try it! My husband and I love this restaurant and the service but this roll is will definitely keep us coming back...
