You have to stand in the crowded entrance and block the front door until you get to the front counter where you place your order. There is a waiting area but no way to reserve your place in line. Perhaps a take a number system would help since the only way to keep your spot in line is to stand in front of the entrance. In my particular experience I had to wait extra long to place my order while the cashier left to tend to the muffins in the oven. By the way the first chance you have to see a menu is when you are at the counter, so you feel rushed to make a choice when there is people piling in behind you. I ordered a pulled chicken sandwich with coleslaw and mac & cheese and a drink. My wife made an identical order and the total was about $26 before tip. The bun was dry, the chicken was slightly cold in the middle suggesting a microwave was used to reheat, the coleslaw was days old, floppy and flavorless, the Mac and cheese was far from fresh, the cheese sauce in the macaroni was broken and separated and the noodles were soft to the point of being mushy amd the whole thing tasted microwaved. Even the cups were cheap and the lid would pop off every time I went for a drink. The atmosphere was silent. It felt more like eating in the library than a BBQ joint. The decor was nice and appropriate. The barbecue sauce was good. Over all I would not recommend unless some changes are made. The prices would be reasonable if the...
Read moreShowed up at 4:50 pm for brisket and chicken tenders with my family (wife, aunt, son, grandma) to find out they have no brisket and no chicken tenders. First time coming here so that's a major disappointment to say the least.....
As far as the food, well.... Ribs lacked flavor and they were dry and thin, my grandma claimed her chicken was also dry. My macaroni and cheese was bland and flavorless as well.
Also pay in cash so you can avoid the 4% credit/debit card transaction fee. Also want to mention that the banana 🍌 pudding was honestly really good.
Mac and cheese wasn't able to be finished by me either. My aunt spit it out when she tried it and so did my wife. So you need to revamp this mac and cheese as in make sure it's smokier and has more. Also it needs to be much more creamier as well. The flavor was honestly non-existent and it felt like I was eating some leftover next day macaroni and cheese that was in the refrigerator then put in the microwave to reheat. No matter what kind of condiments were on the table there was no...
Read moreI was doing a round-trip with a customer coming from Saint Paul Minnesota and she needed to go to the Saint Croix hospital, which was a little bit past this BBQ restaurant. So I asked her when we come back would it be okay for me to pick some bbq up. I ordered the food while she was in the hospital and then it was ready when she came back out and I picked it up. I knew she was gonna be my last ride.It was over an hour ride from saint.Paul and I was done for today. I know that me and my husband will be back for more food. Anxious to try the ribs. I had the rib tips and chicken. We planned on trying to find somewhere to fish.So we'll find a fishing spot in St Croix.Wisconsin and we'll stop and get some barbecue. Very friendly staff. My only complaint is the baked beans taste like pork and beans which still...
