Pizza Castle — Restaurant in Stockton

New pizza joint. I decided to give them a shot and I'm pretty impressed with the aesthetics of the pizza and the taste of the pizza. The cashier told me they were only open for a few months. What I ordered was the Stockton 209 pizza which is basically their combination pizza. It was a large pizza. It hits a lot of points that I like and I give this new pizza spot a 4/5.

1 point for presentation of the pizza. It was a beautiful pizza that was balanced. The mixture of the toppings were precise and pleasing to the eyes.

1 point for flavor of the pizza. It was delicious. The amounts of toppings were just right. Not overcrowded to where the pizza becomes undercooked and not skimpy to be wishing for extra. The crust was great.

1 point for cleanliness. The facility was well taken care of and not only looked clean, but felt clean as well.

1 point for the variety of the menu. So many options. Popular American style pizzas as well as their Indian fusion style pizzas that really interest me. I will be trying them in the future, but I have not tried them yet.

0 points for speed. This was the biggest downside I found here, but they are new and I can understand that they might still be building their efficiency and speed. I was the only customer in the store and I could tell there were no orders coming around with me. The oven conveyor was off and they kept it off for their own reasons, but it took 13 minutes to make a single large combination pizza. When I say make it, I mean slap the dough, sauce it, cheese it, and top it. This pizza is still raw mind you. Then the pizza was inserted into the oven and it would need to run at their preset oven conveyor speed. Every pizza joint has different conveyor cooking times, but I'm guessing they have theirs set between 6 - 7.5 minutes, but it took 20 minutes to make a single large combination pizza with me being the only order during that period.

My biggest concern is that although this is an impressive pizza joint with so much potential, I worry that if they become popular, their underwhelming ability to pump out a pizza would be a negative to...

I've now eaten here twice and will continue to go back just to try new things.

Butter Chicken Pizza 10/10. I might be biased because butter chicken is my absolute favorite. Chicken Tikka Pizza 8.5/10. I got the pizza as a half and half option. Alfredo Pasta with Chicken and I added bacon 7.5/10. Good, baked a tad bit too long but great flavor and pasta was perfect. Cheese Bread 7/10. Could use a bit more flavor but good addition to the pasta. My daughter ended up ripping the cheese off (shes weird) and just ate the bread. Masala Fries 7/10. Fries are good. Seasoning is good. Definitely will ask for double the amount of seasoning next time for a more flavorful bite. If they come out with some type of sauced fries I would be in HEAVEN. Butter chicken fries next guys, please ? 🙏 Experience 11/10 Always extremely nice and welcoming. I took my 3.5 year old with me and they were very sweet to her. I was given a free sofa and their little desserts they have to go. I live about 5 mins away and will continue to go back. Prices are good and you can't beat family owned amazing experiences...

I'm a fan of really delicious pizza, like David's, Dante's, Fired pizza, Mountain Mike's, Ricks etc... and this new place is absolutely delicious! I was skeptical as the last 2 places that were in this location had generic low quality pizza.... Pizza Castle is on par with any of the above mentioned pizza places. I like to switch it up between all of them and Pizza Castle is now definitely in my rotation!!! I mean pizza has 3 categories for me - 1 - very delicious and you look forward to having it again, 2- mediocre and you may go again but don't think too much of it, and 3- bad enough to where you'll never return.Pizza Castle is most definitely in category 1 !!! Priced very fair and worth every penny - probably half price of Dante's or David's and definitely as good, just different. We got an all meat and a pepperoni and the meats were delicious...
