Dined here on 07/23 with 5 other people and it was a terrible experience. The food is avervage. You could get the same quality at a local pizzeria. When we got to our table we saw the happy hour menu and every night had drink specials. Since it was a tuesday it said titos was half off. So 3 out of the 6 of us got a titos with club soda. We were all very dissapointed with the drinks , it tasted simply like flat club soda and lime. There wasnt even any bubbles. We mentioned to the waiter, Tom D that the drinks tasted like water and he simply shrugged it off and kept walking. I figured since they were 50% off they were watering them down. Once we recieved the check we saw we were charged full price and when we asked the server he said happy hour was at the bar only. I again stated that we would not have ordered them since it tasted of just water and again he simply walked away without addressing our concern and did not offer to bring a manager over or discount them. Since he knew we were OBVIOUSLY ordering off the happy hour menu, you would've thought he would've mentioned that that's not available in the dining area! Tom was not hospitable, not friendly, not accomodating and made it clear he could care less that our party was less than content. He literally walked away while we were expressing our discontent more than once. The ambience is also so outdated. The chairs are broken and uncomfortable and the entire restaurant needs a major renovation. Everything just feels old and dusty. This restauarnt is well below average. Mediocre food, outdated ambiance, terrible drinks, and even worse service. There are so many better places...
Read moreAttended a retirement dinner last night. The atmosphere is charming even if it's a little dated. Our server Mayleen was absolutely wonderful even though being short staffed (a remnance of Covid, which the restaurant can not take blame). Mayleen managed to get everyone served with only a short delay and without a hitch, all while keeping a smile on her face. The food, I must say, was very good, with very generous portions. However, the presentation needed some work. I had the Chicken Balsamico. The chicken was with a good balsamic flavor served over pasta. However, the color of this dish was not appealing to the eye. I would have placed 2 sprigs of asparagus over the top and maybe some fresh diced red peppers or tomatoes for added color. Our party had 4 choices of entree. Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Balsamico, Tortellini Alla Panna & Grill Salmon. If there was ever evidence, the food was good. Every plate was cleaned or taken home only due to portions. Overall, I would recommend Marco Polo. My niece, who lives in the same town, dines here often as well. I usually don't write such long reviews, but this restaurant...
Read moreNovember 2021- My daughter wanted to have dinner here with her friends for her 17th birthday, and the staff took really care of them. They were very accommodating with my requests (leaving at a certain time and bringing a birthday cake for a surprise at the end of the meal, etc.) My daughter came specifically for their Italian wedding soup, which she enjoyed again. Her friends had pizza and all of them said everything was delicious. I chatted with the manager (owner?) briefly when I came back to pay for the meal, and he was happy to hear that my teen chose their restaurant to celebrate. He gave her a very sweet present! Planning to go back for our Christmas dinner this year!
June 2022 - Had a surprise party for my husband's 50th over the weekend and ordered catered size food from here. EVERYONE loved it and asked me where I ordered from. The meatballs and Shrimp Fra Diablo were the biggest hits, but the Penne Vodka, Chicken Balsamico, Ceasar Salad, and Wedding soup went over very well too. In fact, my daughter insisted I save some soup for her to bring to school for lunch this...
