The Bronx was the best place for Chinese take-out. Manhattan was a close second. Gourmet Chinese Chicken was an alright experience. We called and placed our order and were told it would take 15 minutes to be ready. There's no delivery service. There's no dine-in service. Just take-out. Orders are distinguished by the phone number that was used to place the order. Everything in our order was accurate, nothing was missing. We got a couple of fortune cookies and could choose as many of our own sauces and place in our bag with our order. Come ready with a dollar if you have a sweet tooth or are going with a little one. They have a low table by the wall with a bunch of lollipos, and a sign that says they are not free and are asking for a $1 donation. The food was alright, nothing that blew my mind, but I ate what was on my plate. I didn't need to cook dinner that night and I didn't feel sick in my belly after. So, win-win. Read moreThey jacked up the price recently and have 0 customer service skills. If you are their regular customer, they will treat you like trash because they know you'll be spending money there.
Plus the lady at the front desk seems to have an attitude sometimes. She seems impatient for some reason.
Always pushy , pushy. She needs to chill down.
Update: The chicken was undercooked. When I called them to tell that, the lady at the front wanted to know how many "wings" have I eaten! Then she proceeds to tell me "I have many customers, but you are the only one who has a problem" !! WTH
She refused refund and her solution was for me to bring back the food so she can recook it for me?? Her second option was to give me 2 dollar discount for next time. I need refund!! Not discount! The way they dealt with me was very disrespectful and I am a regular customer! I am never going back there again. Thanks...

The Garlic sauce is runny and doesn't flavor the chicken well. Service was direct, and prompt but ignored...
