I really tried to refrain myself from posting this one since I know how hard it is running a small business nowadays…but this just was not right. I’ve ordered here many times and loved it each time. I always order to-go: the child’s taco & burrito meal, and a flan for myself. Recently when I’ve been calling, I noticed I couldn’t get through, so this time I decided to go in to order instead of calling ahead. I told the hostess that her phone line doesn’t work, but when I called while there to show her, my number showed “Blocked call” on her end. She said it was because something happened. I asked her what had happened because I don’t recall doing anything wrong and that I’ve been just trying to call in for an order. She didn’t have an answer for me and told me someone will have to unblock my number. Anyways, I placed my order with her and waited for my food to come out. When I went to pay, the total she gave me was almost double for what the menu price was, so I politely asked if the pricing was correct on the menu (as I understood everything has gone up as well). She told me she is charging me for the adult meal instead because the child’s meal was for me. I assured her that the meal was for my kiddo, but she didn’t seem to believe me and decided to tell me again that that meal is for me. I told her I can even go pick him up and bring him there, and also showed her a photo of my kids on the wallpaper of my phone. She changed the price back after I showed her the photo, asked me to sign and quickly walked away before I was even done signing. Mind you I ALWAYS leave a tip on to-go orders, but I couldn’t even tonight.
Just an advice, do not offer kids meals if you think customers are just trying to be cheap and order that instead of paying for a full priced adult meal. It just so happens this mama of 2 under 2 prefers to pick up dinner without all the hassle of taking both kids in and out of the car, so I always do it when my kids are not with me.
Here is a photo of my kids enjoying dinner tonight. It was great, but I feel very disrespected. We will NOT be coming back for a long time. My number is blocked, and I can’t even call you to give you my business. I wish this was brought up to me before assuming or accusing me for something I did not do wrong. Hopefully, you will give other moms a chance, but I will drive further out for Mexican food elsewhere that does not give me a tough time for ordering off the kids menu...
Read moreI had previously given 5 star to this restaurant based on pre-pandemic review and indoor dining. However, the last time we ordered food, we decided to give a try to take-out. The restaurant was crowded and we ordered quickly with the cashier. We entered with our masks but hardly anyone coming in to pick-up food or dine-in bother to wear one! We waited in the car almost one hour! My husband had to go back inside to find out what had happened with our order. Inside, he waited longer as they were "checking into it". Very disappointed with customer service, but not as disappointed as we were with the poorly put together food we ordered and presentation was ugly, the avocado (a side to my dish) was close to none and dark on top much to my dismay. My dish included rice and beans, and my husband's did not but ordered for himself a side of rice and beans. Once we opened the bag, it was obvious that to save, they put his side order and, in their mind, it may have included my side as well? Who knows?! The taste and texture of the food was nothing like in the past. No apology, nothing for the exaggerated long wait. It hard to find a good genuine Mexican Restaurant in this county. So far, the one in Victor remains the only one, nothing fancy but Maria's...
Read moreThis was literally probably my worst Mexican food dining experience. My husband and I came in for lunch at 11:00.
We ordered two t's. The raspberry iced tea was ridiculously sweet and the unsweetened tea was nothing short of slightly brown water and flavorless .
The chips are not homemade, they're definitely store-bought. The salsa was slightly. Nothing more than oregano flavored tomato sauce. The guacamole was clearly pre-made and very runny. It also appeared to be cut with something, possibly a cream or something? The queso was literally the consistency of slightly thick milk. It was flavorless .
We ordered Fajitas Taxanas which was supposed to be beef, chicken and shrimp. It literally had two shrimp and they were both clearly the Frozen variety kind. The chicken and the beef were overcooked and dry and overall the dish was extremely, extremely salty! The corn tortillas fell apart once filling them slightly and they were very thin.
Furniture was dated, paint chipping and some tables chuncks out of the wood corners. Bathroom was dirty and the stall door came apart off the wall.
Hard pass and won't ever be back. Looking for quality Mexican food?.......
