It's rare that I give a place 5 stars I am a tough critic. I've been doing this for quite a while traveling the world little by little. THE PLACE US OFFICIAL! The flavors are on point. I felt like I was in Cuba, with this beautiful environment. It was 12 of us, we reserved an appointment and literally waited 5 minutes. WOW that was quick. Such outstanding service. Walny family was very happy. But I think I was even more happy with my food. To begin we had appetizers and they were empanadas. We all mainly had cheese and ropa vieja. I have had many empanadas in my life. Of course Colombia makes the best in the world. But these are number 2 in the world. I was very impressed. Now to the best part. The entrees omggggggggggg. So good I had the churrasco. My fiancee had a tower with 3 meats. Chicken,Pernil, and Ropa Vieja. If you are eating here. I highly recommend the Ropa vieja will melt and dissolve in your mouth. Never ever have I been so happy with food 5 stars you get. Now the desserts we all had to share deserts. We got like 4 towers of deserts. By the way these towers ate so creative, can you say avanteguarde food????amazing churros. Flan was impeccable. Tres leeches??it soothes my soul take my money. I recommend going around 730 on a Saturday you will never want to leave. This food is so good that I will be ordering catering for my babyshower.Thank you Havana Central. Thank you Juan Carlos.

I made a 830 reservation for my husbands birthday which went smoothly. We sat down and a young kid promptly came over to take our order. About 5 min later what seemed to be the manager of the restaurant walk over with the young kid and a older gentleman waiter and stood infront of our table talking. The young waiter walked over and apologizes saying he will no longer be our server because he's going home. (He did not go home i watched him walk past taking orders for walk-ins) made me wonder if he pushed out our table as a waiter but that's besides the point . We had yet to order our because we had just ordered our appetizers a few minutes earlier. The older waiter walks by and asks us for the entree order and I stated we were not ready yet.. he then tells me I might want to hurry up because when they start playing the music again it will be hard to hear.... I felt rushed like I was not able to enjoy the moment. $145.94 later I gave him All cash and a $7 tip ( which I felt was good since he did not start out at our waiter nor was he the one carrying the food to the table) ... the older waiter walks back to the table does not give me a customer copy of the receipt leans in and says just so you know that's a bad tip. Now I'm sitting there confused, uncomfortable, and bit embarrassed because Excuse me sir. Are you trying to intimidate me to make a bigger tip. So I waited 10 min for him to come back to the table to clarify, he never came back or even looked our way. I threw $7 more dollars on the table and walked out. I liked that restaurant but now I feel ashamed to go back ánd see the servers the one who got bullied out of being our waiter and also the waiter that bullied us out of a bigger tip. Someone should really look into the fairness happening there.

Havana Central was an okay experience—not bad, but not particularly memorable either. The food was decent, the service was average, but the coconut mojitos were definitely a highlight. We started with the Masitas de Cerdo, which were very good—tender and flavorful, practically melting in your mouth. The Maíz Estilo Havana was a nice side, but nothing particularly special. For mains, I had the Tour of Havana, which came with a mix of Cuban classics. While the portion size was generous, the flavors didn’t quite hit as expected—nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. My wife had the Arroz con Camarones, which looked great but was just okay in terms of taste. Dessert was the tres leches cake, which was solid—sweet, moist, and a good way to end the meal. The service was just fine—neither great nor terrible. It felt a bit rushed, and there wasn’t much attention to detail. Overall, Havana Central is decent if you’re in the mood for Cuban food, but nothing about it really makes it a must-visit. The drinks were the best part, and while the Masitas de Cerdo were great, the rest of the meal was just okay.

I reserved a spot for my sisters bday and you'd think a reservation would allow you to sit in the nicer side of the restaurant but that wasn't the case. We were put on the other side of the restaurant where there's not much of an ambiance. I politely asked to possibly sit on the other side since we were there for music and my sisters bday and I was met with a blank face and an eye roll and was brought to the festive side and rudely asked was this fine?. As far as the actually food, it was not as good as I hoped. Steak was very dry and over cooked when I asked for it medium well. The chimi sauce tasted like sofrito. The rice wasn't too tasty either. Nor was the beans. My pina colada was the only thing I really enjoyed. Also as another customer mentioned the feeling of being rushed was very hard to ignore, I spent literally $200 for two people, to feel rushed off was incredibly rude. As soon as you lift the last bit of food off your plate you have someone pull your plate from right underneath you!!! Like what in the heck! I’m literally spending $200 to be rushed. Definitely would NOT come here again.

Our server was really nice but our food for some reason took longer than everyone else's, we didn't have any substitute or add-ons. However persons that came in after us received their entree before we did. When we did finally get them (30-45mins later) the 'Shirt Steak' was cold and also the 'Garlic Chicken' only the Garlic Chicken and Shrimp had some heat in it, then we noticed that both of Chicken dishes had so much sauce the rice became completely saturated and the bean were undercooked. Now dessert we order three items the Pina Colada cake, the Flan and Churro & ice cream bowl and again we had to wait a good while about 10 minutes in the server tell us it takes a while because they have to fried the Churro bowl, ok fine however a different person served us dessert (when we finally got them) but there were only two item so we told him there was suppose to be a third, he said ok and left. We didn't see our original server until we were done with the two desserts and still waiting on the third, so we told him we only got two desserts and to forget the third and just be us the check.
