TrYSeafood Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

1st visit Ok so seasoning was good but salty , service was really good ! Place was clean and welcoming . They forgot to give us napkins or ketchup . I asked for grilled shrimp but got fried , they were busy so i guess thats why they made those few errors , i mean overall for the location they were good ! I would come back but they have small improvements to do . Deff 4-5 stars .

2nd visit update - went in to this location again because they did an okay job the first time . But this time costumer service was wayy off with some tall guy there . He tried to charge me extra so i simply asked why i was being charged an additional 2$ for grilled shrimp instead of the fried version . He says they always charge more when its grilled . I try to explain to him that every other time i came in here the lady with the glasses never charged me for grilled . He tried to brush it off by saying its just 2$ more , and thats what got me upset because its not the money its the principle , how can you have 2 set of prices on the same item ? And how can you give a attitude because someone is asking you about a charge ? Not seeing another dollar of mine again . Btw my order passed the 50$ limit for take out which means i had 5$ off anyways so no need to charge me 2$ , suppose to discount 3$ . Doesnt even know his own...

The restaurant during our (just out of covid lockdown) visit was super clean and even though state law didn't yet permit patrons to use washroom facility, hand sanitizer was provided. All members of staff properly masked and gloved and curbside pickup was available.

Black family owned and they were training their teenaged daughter on the till on my visit. It didn't slow down their service and it was really really sweet to watch. Sort of a passing the baton moment.

They're really good at getting you to upgrade with the gentlest of suggestions instead of being pushy. I appreciliked this and to be honest, my "upgrade" -well combo made much more sense and saved me some cents. Does that make...? Never mind.

My only "aww shucks" moment was our food was a tad salty. I don't use salt and usually I'd let it go but my friend who uses salt shared with me that hers was a bit much too. Taking nothing away from them though because sometimes shxt happens. AND, we've all been through some trying past few months.

I absolutely 100% recommend The Family Trident (I called them that in my mind haha).

Wow my family and friends just left this place at 5:15 pm today 5/16/21. We were calling to place an order for over an hour. No answer. We went there at 5:00 pm. When we got there. The bald gentleman told us the place was closed. He said it was after 11pm and they were closed. He was drunk and rude. We thought he was joking at first, but he wasn't. He really thought it was 11pm. People were being turned around confused. We just ate from that place two weeks ago and the lady that was there was very nice and the food was good. She wasn't there. Hopefully she'll read this review and do something about that guy. They really lost a...
