It was my first time and the drive thru lady was a champ about answering all my questions. However, you have chicken fish and shrimp... employees should know what kind of fish, that a hush puppy is not a dessert with cream filling, I think it's crab but complete guess. Seafood allergies can be very serious. I was asking because with my dogs in the car I want to know what's in the bag they are stalking or what I can give them a bite of. Also the menu said what I was getting was 8 and some change, or 7 and some change. Chicken and fish platter/combo 8 was with a drink. I paid 12.69 and no drink and no choice of 2 sides. Either dirty oil or not letting strain at all. Bag on sides even if soaked with grease even though it was in a box and then bag. Couldn't eat much. If let to drip a little before boxing would be delicious. Not a fan of the tarter either. Which is very important. It was just nasty packet of yellow glop. Oh the menu I read was on the website. I viewed before entering drive through in effort to keep flow going. Fail. It backfired completely and I paid 4 more bucks then I planned. I decided to try it since I was right there and was surprised by decent prices. If online would had reflected true prices I would had gone to burger king. I am poor but diabetic and had been stuck in car and was not feeling well and needed to eat. Out of ten fries I ate at least four had probably been in fry basket for hours. I would much rather have fresh french fries and get a few less . I was the most unnerving part was while I was ordering a guy walked very abruptly with angry stare at me in between me and speaker box. Very unnerving as a female with so much crime all around. But as I left he was on corning with a advertising sign for long John silvers! Making customer concerned of being attacked or robbed is a big no no for a friggin employee. I literally locked my doors because of how angry and crazy he was glaring at me while abruptly getting in between the speaker I was ordering at. I was horrified to see he was...
Read moreWent in to Long John Silvers for lunch again today hoping for the best. My last several visits have been disappointing. I stood at the counter waiting to order. The self-service kiosk is only for the Taco-Bell at this location. Three groups were able to order for Taco-Bell and get in front of me before anyone in the restaurant staff acknowledged me. I made my usual order of a two piece fish and fries with a drink and I asked for a small container of the batter drippings (crumblys, crunchies, crumbs.) I used every word I knew to refer to the crunchy batter nuggets of goodness. The register attendant did NOT understand. Eventually he said, "crunchies, yes." I thought that meant he understood. Later I found that not to be the case.
I waited for my order while several more came through the TB side amd were served their food.
When my order came up I received the two piece fish and fries and NO crunchies. I told the man who served me that they weren't there. He told me that I was supposed to say something when I ordered. I raised my volume and said, "I did." They just smiled at me like 'whatever'. That's infuriating. It's a simple thing. I was in a Long John Silvers restaurant. I ordered a common thing. Then I was treated like I didn't do it.
All of that would be fine and a learning experience even, had it had not been for the food itself. Everything in the box had the rancid, burned, tainted taste of old and overused cooking oil. After all that wait and trouble, the food was...
Read moreI was asked to pull around to the front from the drive-thru as the fish was apparently still cooking. About 12 or 13 minutes later wondering what happened to my food I went inside. The same clerk that greeted me at the window asked me was I a Long John's customer(as opposed to Taco Bell which also sells out of the same location) while holding a bag of food they seemed stumped about
Seems to me if the order was for the drive-thru and there's no one now at the drive-thru the next place you might look is out front but no one seemed to think that that might be a good idea and left me sitting out there.
They handed me my bag which was loaded with an obscene amount of ranch dressing, lemon juice, malt vinegar, and ketchup. I specifically asked only for tartar sauce and a little bit of cocktail sauce of which I got none. I politely took it out of the bag put it on the counter asked for some tartar sauce and left.
The Fish and Chicken was still warm when I got home the fries were cold and after the wait and the unprofessionalism of This Crew I was pretty turned off by the whole experience and wondered why I went there in the first place. Just reminded me why even when you get a craving for something like this don't go!
If you choose this location my recommendation is go inside and be...
