I would have given 0 star if it was an option. I am someone who try to avoid write bad review at all however this restaurant food taste made me to do it. We ordered lot of varieties. Out if it only samosa was little eatable and dosa, mirchi bhajji idli etc was served with sambhar and chutney 😬I can't even explain, suppose a water was served with no salt and chutney raw. Still we were respecting food and eating as don't want to disrespect others business as it is bread and butter for the owner and employees. After that we ordered chilli paneer($12) thought it should be good but again surprised it was raw paneer sauted with chilli and capsicum, curry leaves . What it is chineese food sir. That I couldn't bear at all and had to tell front desk. They returned money by saying that this is how it is served in our restaurant. I told then then replace the name chilli paneer with something else sir. Don't make fool of us. We are also earning very hard as well and ready to pay for eatable food. Value our money as well serve something valuable to client while charging big amount. RESPECT YOUR CLIENT' MONEY as well.
I don't know how people are giving good reviews here. May be friends and family. Other's may feel me.
Please avoid wasting your money here and better buy next door Chipotle.
This is first time me being so harsh for a restaurant' reviews and took good time to type here so I could...
Read moreWent in on a Tuesday afternoon to order carry out, the place was empty except for the people working the kitchen. Ordered a Chicken Biryani and an order of Idli that took about 15 minutes to put together. Chicken Biryani: 0/5. Tasted stale and reheated. The rice was overcooked and tasted like it had been frozen, thawed and reheated. The base of the biryani tasted more like a curry mixed with plain rice, rather than biryani. The chicken was undercooked and tasteless. Definitely not marinated like biryani meat usually is, since all the flavor was in the curry. The accompaniments like raita and mirchi ka salan were watery and tasteless. Idli: 1/5 was made to order, but very dense and soggy. The batter tasted like it had lost its fluffiness/fermentation over time and was probably stale. Comes with a small container of sambar, certainly not enough. Peanut chutney was ok, would have preferred the coconut chutney that other locations of this franchise offer and is a more traditional side with idli. Definitely will not be back. The other locations are definitely better but there are also a ton of better options for south indian cuisine...

I recently visited chopati McLean with high expectations, eager to indulge in their renowned paneer biryani and mirchi bajji. However, my experience left much to be desired.
The paneer biryani, advertised as a fragrant and flavorful dish, was unfortunately overshadowed by an unpleasant odor upon arrival. Despite its promising appearance, the aroma was off-putting, indicating potential issues with the freshness of ingredients or the cooking process.
Additionally, the mirchi bajji lacked a fundamental element: salt. This absence drastically affected the overall taste, rendering the snack bland and unappealing. While the texture was satisfactory, the lack of seasoning significantly detracted from the enjoyment of this classic dish.
Overall, my visit to chopati was marred by these shortcomings, leaving me disappointed and unlikely to return. I hope that the restaurant addresses these issues promptly to maintain its reputation for...
